Plus a 16x 1938 Dodge Van ‘Apotheek de Korenbloem Netherlands’ in light brown with dark blue base, black roof panels, yellow wheels with chrome wheel hubs. Boxed, minor wear to one flap. Vehicle Mint.
A fine example of a Meccano No.9 Fire Escape set. Produced in the early 1960’s. This virtually unused comprehensive set is contained in its correct period two tier wooden red paper covered box with yellow sectioned interior containing the correct red and green metal plates, (various shapes and sizes) to build this special model. Complete with nuts and bolts tins 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3. Plus cogs, wheels, rubber tyres, chains, thin green cord, spanners, handles and 4 Meccano instruction catalogues including the Special Model Leaflet 9.1 for the Fire Escape. Box is a very nice example showing very little wear, only minor tearing is apparent to the edges of the inner tray paper covering. The outer lid is in very good order but has split edges to two sides. The contents are in GC-VGC but a few pieces do have some light/moderate rusting.
An extremely rare pre-WW1 German Bing streamlined clockwork tinplate destroyer No.121 Approx 70cm long painted in light grey and red below the plimsol line. A twin funnelled example, (one funnel missing) with lift off centre to gain access to the clockwork motor. Simply detailed, fitted with stylised torpedo’s and side railings,-one side missing. Still with original 4 bladed propeller and typical Bing style rudder. With 1906 GBN diamond logo to bow. Generally in good condition for age. Some surface rusting. One engine ventilator and pennants missing. Clockwork motor in good working order. Mounted on a simple wooden stand. Plate. See back cover

Comprising Mechanical Horse in GWR Express Cartage Services chocolate & cream livery, open wagon in dark blue, Dust Wagon in light blue, Petrol Tank in ESSO red & green and flat truck in green. In a good reproduction box. Together with an additional mechanical horse in green livery. QGC-GC for age, very little fatigue, some chipping / wear overall.

3 unusual watercolour sketches of searchlights lighting up scenes on the Western Front, one showing 4 searchlights shining almost horizontally showing up a church, farm buildings, fields and rows of trees, the other two of searchlights pointing skywards behind farm buildings and sparse trees, mounted on stout boards, 12” x 6”. A post 1902 RN Midshipman’s dirk, SE blade 18½”, by J R Gaunt & Son, late Edward Thurkle, 53 Conduit St, London W (the firm’s address 1906-18), etched with crowned fouled anchor, R Arms and motto within oak wreaths, scrolled panels, regulation brass hilt, acorn finial crossguard with crowned fouled anchor in wreath to centre, lion’s head pommel and backstrap, wirebound sharkskin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard with locking clip to hilt. GC (light pitting to blade edges)
A French M1882 light cavalry trooper’s sword, straight fullererd blade 34”, marked “Mf d’Armes de Chat Sbre 1885 Cavrie Legere Mle 1882” on backstrap, regulation brass hilt, the guard with reinforced edges, knucklebow and 2 sidebars, cap shaped pommel, leather covered grip (AF), in its steel scabbard with single ring. Basically GC, the blade good (dark rust to scabbard)
A good Dutch infantry officer’s sword, slightly curved, fullered, plated blade 35½”, with mark of Carl Eickhorn Solingen at forte under langet, and etched “Yserhouwer” in scroll on one side, gilt hilt with pronounced knucklebow, langets, lion’s head quillon, lion’s head pommel and plain backstrap, wirebound black composition grip, black cord knot with large orange tipped silver bullion “acorn”, in its plated scabbard with single ring. Near VGC (2 light pitting patches to top of blade) Plate 4
An 1822 pattern staff officer’s sword, slightly curved, pipe backed blade 33”, by Lansdale & Tyler, Bedford St Covt Garden London (the style of the firm 1835-45), etched with crowned VR cypher and wreath within panels, regulation copper hilt, retaining traces of gilt, incorporating crowned crossed baton and sword, stepped pommel, ornamental backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard (leather AF), with 2 rings, the locket engraved with maker’s name and address as above. Basically GC (some wear and light pitting)

A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper’s sword, broad, curved, shallow fullered blade 33”, with stamp at forte, regulation steel stirrup hilt with langets, plain pommel and backstrap with ears, ribbed leather grip, in its steel scabbard marked “Woolley Deakin & Dutton” (title used 1808-12) with 2 hanging rings.
