FLORENCE BARLOW FOR DOULTON LAMBETH; a 19th century Artware flagon, with incised and relief moulded floral decoration and with hallmarked silver cover/collar, Hukin & Heath, Birmingham 1878, height 25cm.Additional InformationThe cover does not meet the rim 100% true, the cover with etched and chased decoration which is similar to the decoration on the body on the piece, light scratches to the body, there are some areas of raised decoration which are rough, crazing.
DOULTON LAMBETH; a 19th century Artware candlestick with incised and relief moulded detail, height 25cm, dated 1876 to the underside, together with a Doulton Slater's Patent mug inscribed 'A Happy New Year, from Papa', with three circular celadon glazed panels, one example decorated with a tortoise, height 11cm.Additional InformationLight wear, rubbed patches to the raised parts.
ROYAL DOULTON; a pair of stoneware Art Nouveau floral decorated mottled green ground vases, impressed marks to base, also incised X8911R/8190, height 20cm and a Royal Doulton green and gold octagonal part coffee service.Additional InformationThe pair of vases have light surface wear but overall in good condition. The coffee set appears ok with just rubbing to the gilding. One of the saucers doesn't ring true, but cannot see any damage.
ROYAL DOULTON; twenty-four assorted medium and small sized character jugs, including 'John Barleycorn', 'Old Lad', 'Farmer John', 'Bacchus', etc.Additional InformationOne or two of the jugs with slight nibbles to the rims, but otherwise good condition, with minimal wear. The odd example with light glaze crazing.
ROYAL DOULTON; eight large sized character jugs, including 'The Fortune Teller', 'Monty', 'Isaak Walton', 'Anne Boleyn', 'Catherine of Aragon', etc (8).Additional InformationIzaak Walton with sliver chip to the foot rim. Catherine of Aragon seconds quality and with a large chip to the back. Light crazing to a couple of examples.
An early 20th century Chinese blue and white crackle glazed vase with flared neck, decorated with birds, height 20cm, together with further Oriental items including a Chinese cloisonné bowl, a Chinese ginger jar and cover, and a pewter inkwell, etc (8).Additional InformationThe vase with staining to the body, the cloisonne bowl is misshapen, light dents and knocks to the edge, the oval pot is af as the cover is damaged, the three bowls with tiny chips to the rims.
A large Chinese blue and white jardinière painted with a four claw dragon, unmarked, height 30cm, diameter 37cm and a 20th century Chinese brush pot, height 12cm (2).Additional InformationThe jardinière has a series of cracks running through it mainly visible from the interior. Surface rubbing and pitting to the glaze. The brush pot has a painted double ring mark but is a modern piece, light surface wear. We do not know the age of the bowl. Please satisfy yourself prior to placing a bid.
A large Japanese Satsuma Meiji period cylindrical vase, the main panel decorated with a kitten playing with a ball of string beside butterflies and floral sprays, signed to the base, height 38cm, sold with an associated hardwood stand (2).Additional InformationMinor rubbing to the gilding noticeably around the upper rim, some light general surface crazing and marks to the body of the piece but overall in good condition.
A pair of late 19th century Japanese rounded octagonal Imari vases and covers with gilt heightening throughout, unmarked, height 37cm.PROVENANCE: from the Brian Morley collection. Brian Morley was born in 1935 in the Peak District, Derbyshire. He had a grammar school education at Buxton College and went on to study at Goldsmiths School of Art (University of London) from 1954-58. He won prizes for drawing and was given the John Murray Award for landscape painting by the Royal Academy in 1956 and 1958. He then studied painting at the Royal College of Art from 1958-61 where he was awarded his A.R.C.A. After graduation, he taught part-time in various art schools before taking up an appointment as Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic in 1975. He remained in Manchester until he retired as Head of the School of Painting and Printmaking in the Faculty of Art & Design at Manchester University in 2000.Additional InformationRubbing to the gilding on both and some light surface scratches but both overall in good order.

A collection of 19th century and later glassware including a cranberry jug with ribbed detail, various drinking glasses, a clear glass inkwell with copper plated cover, etc (14).Additional InformationThe cranberry jug with light scratches to the body and wear to the underside as expected, the cranberry claret jug with the stopper and with chipping to the stopper, also with cracks to the body terminating from the handle, the copper plate is worn in the inkwell, the glasses with the amber stems, two examples of chips to the foot rims.
A pair of 19th century glass candlesticks, raised on a double knop stem terminating on a baluster terminal and octagonal plinth base, with star cut base, height 27.5cm, together with a pair of 19th century taper sticks, height 17cm, and a pair of modern green glass candlesticks with integrated drip trays raised on single knop stems, height 17cm (6).Additional InformationLight wear to the bases as expected on each example, the smaller clear glass sticks only have a small aperture to hold a candlestick so has possibly been ground down, chipping to relief detail on those and large chips to the bases, the larger pair of sticks with scratches to the underside, minor chipping to the edges/corners of the decoration.

A late 19th century Bohemian opaque glass, gilded and painted chalice with flared rim, the bowl decorated with three storks within a landscape on a ring turned spreading central column to a floral painted base, height 29cm, diameter 20cm.Additional InformationSome very minor rubbing to the gilding throughout and light general surface wear, but overall has survived very well. Some rubbing to the gilding around the collar noticeably.

EDINBURGH 1886 AND GLASGOW 1888; a small group of Mauchline ware pieces including a needle pad, turned containers with lids, string box, etc.Additional InformationRusting to the tray, scratches to the surface, each of the tureen items with general wear, minor knocks, a couple of scuffs, a couple of the stoppers are slightly fixed and are tricky to remove, but they all do come loose, light scratches, very minor losses to the decoration on the tureen items.
