This is a fabulous Omega TV Screen with all original parts.; The grey dial is in perfect condition.; It has a outer ring of light grey with batons for the hour markers.; The Omega Automatic movement is working well and serviced in March 2022.It comes with a new leather strap to match the dial.I don't polish my vintage watches and the case is in good condition.; If you prefer a shiny case it will polish up well.Very few Omega TV's available in this condition at this price.
This watch is a museum piece!; It is that rare as most did not survive the new technology within the watch.; So happy to have this in our stock and thrilled to help it find a new home with someone who loves this kind of unique technology.; It's like the De Lorean sports car - miles ahead of its time but did not have commerical success but then became very collectable and rare.In the 1970's Bulova patented the Thermatron as a “thermoelectrically powered wristwatch.” In simple terms, this was Bulova’s attempt to create an alternative to the solar-powered watch that the Japanese Citizen watches were promoting.; They worked on the watch for nearly a decade before launching in 1982.Bulova was trying to miniaturize the established idea of the Seebeck effect, which is the basis for a thermoelectric generator. Basically, if you have a flux (mixture) of hot and cold thermoelectric materials, the temperature gradient can release electricity in a way similar to the photoelectric effect. In principle, thermoelectric generation is a cousin of photoelectric generation which is the basis of light-powered (photovoltaic) watch movements. Thermoelectric motors require a regular and constant difference of temperature between the “hot” and “cold” end. If there are issues with this element of the generator, it will not properly generate electricity.However, it did not work!; Not enough temperature differnece lead to the watch not working and too much meant the batteries coroded the watch from the inside.; Hence not many survived. This watch has been converted to work from a normal watch battery.

Victorian part tea set (likely Spode) comprising thirteen cups, ten saucers, two circular sandwich plates; Spode gilded blue Felspar comprising four cups, four saucers and a sandwich plate. Condition ReportBox 1: Foley part tea set 'Hollyhocks': Cake plate with light brown staining to the middle, with light scuff marks (would benefit from a wash). Three tea cups with light rubbing to the rim. Six cake plates in good overall condition. Six saucers are in good condition, the gilding on the rims is rubbed in places. Royal Worcester Roanoak: Eight saucers in good overall condition. Four cake plates are in good overall condition, two are a slightly darker colour. Three bowls are in good condition. Two Spode plates are heavily crazed. Five saucers are in good condition, but one slightly crazed. The blue Feldspar cake plate has a stress crack across the middle. Four saucers - the gilding is slightly rubbed, one fine stress crack to the back. Box 2: Four Spode Saucers good, some of the central roses slightly faded, the gilding slightly rubbed, no chips and no crazing evident. Thirteen teacups - (i) crazed and slightly tea-stained. (ii) crazed and very tea-stained. (iii) in good condition and the gilding slightly rubbed. (iv) cracked and tea-stained. (v) stained with crazing. (vi) in good condition and slightly tea-stained.
