A Japanese Meiji period Satsuma porcelain vase, one side decorated with an oval depicting a fox in a landscape, the other depicting a dancer in masked costume, on a gilt and red speckled ground, bears red and gilt signature mark to base, 15 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Light general wear and scuffs. Some pitting to surface - particularly to the bianca supra bianca decoration. Some rubbing to the gilding, particularly to top rim and to foot rim. A few small white splashes of paint, and a blob of white paint to the figure's leg. A firing blemish to the underside. Overall, however, appears sound.

A 19th century French farmhouse style oak table, the two planked top over a single frieze drawer on square tapering legs, 120 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Overall colour fairly light. Top with restoration in several areas. The central shrinkage split filled. Two further splits - one left and one right each approx 40cm both filled. Base basically sound. Drawer runners very worn. Nails to base of drawer lining. top edges have nails embedded, suggesting that top may have had a covering of some sort, now gone but nails remaining. Overall appears in presentable restored condition.
