Blaeu (Joan), fine panoramic engraved view of Frascati and the surrounding villas from Blaeu's 'Theatrum Civitatum et Admirandorum Italiae', 1663, comprising three joined sheets, blank title cartouche flanked by putti, each villa with a title within a scroll border, inset key of places, a little vertical creasing and some fraying to margins with a little loss (not affecting printed area), some light offsetting, the whole relaid onto archival paper, image size approx. 380 x 1480 mm. A good impression. Frascati, long famed for it's villas and gardens, lies thirteen miles southeast of Rome. The villas depicted in this engraving include Villa Tusculana, Camaldoli, Mondragone, Villa Borghesia, La Ruffina, La Ruffinella, Cappuccini, Villa Aldobrandina, Villa del St. Duca de Sora, Villa del St. Duca Alrems, Belpoggio, Acquaviva and Arrigone.
