A Victorian black onyx, enamel and half-pearl oval mourning brooch and earring set. Each set with a central oval cabochon black onyx decorated with a central half-pearl star motif, and with similar half-pearl and enamel borders, the brooch approx. 40mm x 31mm overall, 12.9g gross, the earrings 21.5mm high (excluding the small bale), 17mm wide, the pair weigh 9.3g gross.Note; The back of each item appears to be tarnished gilt metal however the pearls appear to be mounted in gold, please satisfy yourself before bidding on this lot. Condition Report: Overal very good and honest (dare I say it excellent?) condition for their age. All the pearls in good condition and a good lustrous white/very light cream colour. Mounts all good, no cracks, chips or obvious damage, scratches or chips. Please see the catalogue description regarding the metal, the backs all tarnished and would benefit from a sympathetic clean.
An early/mid-20th century white gold, jadeite and diamond oval cluster ring. Centred with an oval cabochon jadeite approx. 10mm x 6.5mm x 4.4mm, claw set within an eight-cut diamond 16 stone scalloped and lightly millegrained border, on a 'D' section shank with split shoulders with chenirs, stamped '18ct' & 'Pt, size I+, 2.5g gross. Condition Report: Overal good condition for age, general light wear and tear commensurate with age and light use, all claws good, some light wear and tear to the bezel and shank as expected, a small finger size at I+ (I 1/2). THe jadeite cabochon of a fairly pale but even colour (reminiscent of chrysoprase), the back of the cabochon a little un-polished and with an incipient shallow natural 'shake', identified using the distant vision method on a refractometer. The diamonds small but bright.

Condition Report: We do not guarantee any watch for accuracy. Overall good condition for age, general wear and tear commensurate with age and use, some minor scuffs and dings and a couple of light scratches to the bezel. When we opened the case the black rubber grommet was perished. The movement ok, running freely, set hands and fast date set working.

An early 20th century small oak cased marquetry inlaid mantel clock in shape of a longcase. With arched hood inlaid with flowerhead and leafy scrolls, the cream painted dial with black Arabic numerals, with two keys, one Swiss, the case inlaid with shells and an urn, on oak plinth, 50cm high Condition Report: Generally in good condition. The movement and mands function at time of testing. The dial has a hairline crack. Some knocks to the wood, mainly to the base. The base is possibly unoriginal. Some signs of general wear including light scratches consistent with age and usage.
A pair of late 19th century pressed glass vases in marbled amethyst tint. Each with fluted and gadrooned bowl above gadrooned socle and leaf-moulded base, 23.5cm high Condition Report: In fair condition. Colours bright. One has a chip to the base. One doesn't stand completely stratight. Both have multiple hairline cracks to the surface however this is likely the result of the construction process. Would benefit from a clean. Light scratches and wear consistent with age and usage.
A Chinese porcelain famille rose enamelled circular shallow dish. With apocryphal underglaze blue six character reign mark for Yongzheng (1723-1735) within double concentric lines to base, the front finely painted in coloured enamels with a scene from Romance of the Western Chamber/Xixiang Ji with a man leading a horse, before a woman looking out from a window and a man standing with a horse, in rockwork landscape, within an underglaze blue ruyi lappet border, the reverse with a dense ground of underglaze blue flowerheads and scrolling leaves, within gilt rim, 27cm diam. See the similar dish sold by Adams, 29th June 2021, lot 34. Provenance Colonel Alexander Phelps Hodges (1894-1977) formed part of the British Military Mission with the White Army, fighting against the Bolshevick Red Army during the period 1919-20. Forced to retreat, he travelled into China, crossing the Gobi Desert and coming into Peking. Eventually he escaped to Vladivostok in Eastern Russia and returned to England having travelled some 3000 miles in seven months This dish was one of his 'trophies' acquired during his travels across China while with the White Army in circa 1920. He later published a book detailing his adventures titled 'Britmus'. Condition Report: Overall in good-very good condition. No obvious cracks or chips. Some light pitting to areas of the glaze. Small spot of bubbling to area of the blue building. A small number of blossoms have possibly been re-applied. Sole rubbing to the gilt. Colours bright. Some signs of wear consistent with age and usage including light scratches and rubbing. The base has some pen marks and spots of residue (should clean off). Has not been examined under UV light.
A pair of late 19th century Dresden porcelain bottle-shaped vases. Blue AR marks, painted with bouquets of flowers on a pale-pink ground alternating with couples in landscape the the Meissen style, within gilt scroll and pebble borders, 26cm high Condition Report: Overall in good-very good condition. No apparent cracks or chips. Some slight signs of wear including rubbing to the bases, scuffs and light scratches. Gilt has possibly been reapplied around one of the rims. Would benefit from a clean.
Three 20th century Asian cloisonne vases. The larger Japanese example of tall tapering form, decorated with with flower-sprays on a sparkling brown ground, stamped with flower mark, 25cm high and a pair of black ground small vases decorated with prunus and rockwork, 15cm high Condition Report: The large vase is generally in good condition with no obvious chips or repairs to the enamel. The smaller examples: one has at least two large knocks to the decoration (however not deep enough to expose the inner metal). Both also have chips to the enamel under the rim. All show some general wear including light scratches. Would benefit from a clean.

Centred with a gadrooned vase and cover issuing two leafy scroll branches issuing opaque glass shades on Birmingham marked burners with panel cut clear glass reservoirs, on a central reeded baluster column pedestal surmounted with three supporting herons on a stepped gadrooned and laurel cast circular base, 75 cm high overall Condition Report: Overall in good condition. Would benefit from a clean. Some knocks, scratches and wear consistent with age and usage. The glass shades have some chips and small cracks. Possible areas of repair to the metal. Structurally sound.

A late Victorian silver goblet. Embossed with foliate scrolls and two cartouches, on a knopped stem and round foot, mark of John Round & Sons, Birmingham 1894, 18cm high, 158g. Condition Report: Overall very good condition for age, general light wear and tear commensurate with age and light use. Both cartouches vacant with no obvious evidence of erasures.

Painted red marks, pattern 3778, printed and gilt with vases of chinoiserie flowers and fruits on stands in grey tones, comprising: a teapot and stand, two cake plates, a slop basin, a two-handled sugar bowl and cover, a milk-jug, twelve teacups, eleven coffee-cups and twelve saucers Condition Report: Generally in good condition. One of the teacups has a hairline crack and another has a broken handle that has been repaired. The sugar bowl has large hairline cracks to the top and the inner rim has a hairline crack and large chip. All have some rubbing to the details and light scratches (mainly to the base). Several pieces have small chips to the underside and spots of pitting and discolouration.
