Tikka M595 .223 bolt action rifle, 20 inch barrel threaded for moderator, figured chequered stock with rosewood forend cap, serial number 933623.UK RFD OR FIREARMS LICENCE WITH VARIATION FOR .223 RIFLE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.104cm long Condition report: The bolt appears to function smoothly and correctly. The bolt has some very light corrosion which would probably clean up. The bore is in a similar state with some light patches of either pitting or surface corrosion visible. These might clean up with a wire brush but I cannot guarantee this. The magazine is present. The gun looks like it has seen a fair amount of use with small scratches and dents visible to the stock. There is also some surface wear to the bluing where a moderator has been fitted. The muzzle protector cap which you would unscrew to fit a moderator has a small dent to the rim but this would not affect the path of a bullet.
Marlin .45-70 lever action rifle, 22 inch barrel fitted with folding buck horn sight, scope rail attached to the receiver, chequered pistol grip stock and forend, hammer extension, serial number 04095749. The stock has some dents and scratches from use. The action does not lock back open unless the butt is tapped on the floor to simulate recoil. I do not know if this is a design issue or the fact that the action generally looks like it needs a strip and clean. I cannot get a cartridge to cycle through the magazine either. There are light patches of rusting to the bluing. The bore is similar to the outside of the gun in that that there is some light corrosion which could probably be improved with a good scrubbing.
Browning Gti 12 bore over and under shotgun 29.5 inch barrels choked full and 3/4, length of pull 14.25inches, serial number 29175PP.UK RFD OR SHOTGUN LICENCE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.118cm longCondition report: The gun has seen a huge amount of use and shows all the signs of it. With the forend removed there is a small amount of wobble between barrels and action. The barrels are in proof but they are dirty and there might be light pitting inside however with a good clean this could be improved. The gun ejects when fired on snap caps. We have not tested the gun with live ammunition and therefore cannot offer any guarantee.
Fine cased pair of Westley Richards side by side 12 bore shotguns, serial numbers 14878 and 14879, numbered in gilt 1 and 2, 30 inch nitro proved barrels with doll head extension engraved Westley Richards 170 New Bond Street London, Whitworth Fluid Compressed Steel, choked to improved cylinder on gun 1 both barrels of each gun, Westley Richards patent actions with Anson and Deeley's patent ejector, scroll back treble grip actions finely engraved with scrollwork, each trigger guard engraved with a gundog, figured chequered stocks with vacant escutcheons and horn capped forends, length of pull from the front trigger 14.5inches, gun weight 1: 2883 grams, 2: 2906 grams. With original makers oak and leather case with brass corners, label and maroon baize interior, the exterior with owners name E.G. Sergeant.UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.The case measures 84cm wide Condition report: Both guns have been professionally restored and cleaned up at some stage and are now very presentable with a good finish and blue. There are occasional minor marks to both the bluing and the stocks but nothing at all deep or defacing. Both guns have chips and small amounts of wear to the corners of the wood on the forends where side by side shotguns often get damaged. Both actions cock and eject correctly on snap caps.Gun 1: This has been shot the most and a perceivable rattle is present between barrels and action with the forend removed but not so when the forend is fitted. Bores both measure .740 matching the relatively recent .740 reproof. Barrels ring when tapped with a very slight buzz, there is a small sliding sound when the barrels are tilted up and down as if there is a particle within the ribs. Bores are both free of pitting. There is evidence of a lifted dent to the left tube around the mid point.Gun 2: Perceivable rattle is present between barrels and action with the forend removed but not so when the forend is fitted. This is not as noticeable as Gun 1. Bores have light scratching lines, inside. They ring when tapped and measure .740 and .741 against the .740 reproof. No signs of dents. The forend has either a very slight crack or a deep scratch near the action. If it is a crack it appears stable, our opinion is it is more likely to be a scratch.
Winchester European 1500XTR 12 bore semi auto shotgun, 28 inch barrel fitted with one improved cylinder choke tube only, no key, serial number NEO17659.UK RFD OR SHOTGUN LICENCE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.125cm long Condition report: Generally fairly presentable. There are some light scratches to the bluing and the odd dent and mark to the stock. There are some minor corrosion patches to the bluing which would probably clean up with careful attention. The stock is missing a sling swivel. The action does not lock back unless it has cycled a cartridge through it, I think this is how it is designed but I am not sure. The bore is generally good but would benefit from a clean.
Cogswell and Harrison 16 bore boxlock shotgun, 27.5 inch barrels, non ejector, serial number 45200, in makers original canvas case with cleaning rod.UK RFD OR SHOTGUN LICENCE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.112cm long Condition report: The bores are generally good however there is the odd light surface pitting patch similar to those seen on the outside of the action. Length of pull measures 13.75 from the rear and 14.5inches from the front trigger.
