DAVID BOWIE - MAN OF WORDS/MAN OF MUSIC LP (US PROMO SR 61246). Super scarce original US promo copy of the album that would famously later become Spade Oddity (Mercury SR 61246 'Promotional Copy Not For Sale' printed on labels). The record is in Ex condition - a very neat copy showing a couple of extremely faint and wispy markings, there is some light residue to the playing surfaces giving them a slightly 'faded' look; we fully expect this to be a visual effect only. The gatefold sleeve is in VG condition. A strong example, there is some light edgewear and some shelfwear noted (a small split has appeared in the middle section of the spine) - elsewhere a very neat copy with very little of the ringwear seen that is usually spotted with these US sleeves.

Los 11

THE SWEET - SLOW MOTION 7" (FONTANA TF 958). Fiendishly hard to source debut 45 from The Sweet, this the original 1968 on Fontana (TF 958). The record is in very neat VG+ condition with a few quite light and minor surface markings to the playing surfaces, none of which are ever of a heavier nature. The 3 prong centre is fully intact, there are 2 sticker removal markings on the A side label. Housed with original company sleeve.

Los 13

Rex Poster Inside'), S/T (US Santa Maria pressing RS 6640 with SG etchings, 'wraparound' cover - Ex+ or archive copy) and Dib Cochran & The Earwigs - Oh Baby (BLL 1121, private, blue - Ex+ or 'as new').

DAVID BOWIE - THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD LP (1ST UK 'DRESS SLEEVE' - MERCURY 6338 041). A superb original UK pressing of the iconic 'dress sleeve' The Man Who Sold The World (Mercury 6338 041). The record ('correct' Tony Visconti credits) is in Ex+ condition. A top clean copy, there are just some very light signs of 'poly bag residue' on side 1 - this is only light and will extremely unlikely effect playback. Elsewhere there are just a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy markings. Matrix/runout: 6338041 1Y//1 ?420 1 1 4 & 6338041 2Y//1 ?420 1 1 1. The sleeve is in Ex condition. Notoriously hard to find in clean condition due to the textured nature of it, this is a top copy showing just some rather light ringwear and some minor edgewear.

DAVID BOWIE - PINUPS - UK TRIDENT STUDIOS ACETATE RECORDING LP. Fantastic piece of Bowie history with the original Trident Studios acetate recording of the classic 1973 LP. Issued on 2 x single sided acetate LPs with Trident Studios printed labels and 'David Bowie 1' and 'David Bowie 2' hand written on the corresponding record. Both records are presented in outstanding Ex+ condition. Visually there are just a couple of very fine, minor and wispy markings to the playing sides with the playback superb on both records. There is very little deterioration to the aluminium lacquer. Audio-wise we believe the recording to be very similar to that of the final studio version, however there is a difference on the opening track Rosalyn with a distinct 'Echo' heard on the intro. There are slight tempo/pitch changes that can be heard, the most notable of this on I Can't Explain. House with original Trident Studios orange sleeve which is in Ex condition showing a few light creases.

Los 21

DAVID BOWIE DEMO TAPE. A boxed reel of Scotch 7" tape, with contents to include three studio recordings made by David Bowie and band circa December 1966 for inclusion on his self titled debut album. The takes recorded and heard on this tape will not have been previously publicly available. There is approximately 27 minutes worth of very clear, high quality audio to comprise: 13.5 minutes of audio during takes for 'Silly Boy Blue' to include five false starts and two full takes, with plenty of light hearted studio chatter from Bowie and band (just after the trumpet opening Bowie comes in 'Sorry! I forgot what i was doing..'). There is approx 7.5 minutes of audio during takes for 'Sell Me A Coat' to include two false starts and a complete take, with more studio chat and instructions to David RE his timing. Also approx 6 minutes of audio for 'Please, Mr Gravedigger' to comprise two false starts (one interrupted somewhat tersely by Bowie who complains of an unthinking studio guest 'your feet are too loud') and one full take. This item is sold as an artefact only, without copyright. Any reproduction is strictly prohibited.

Los 3

DAVID BOWIE - S/T LP (ORIGINAL UK MONO PRESSING - DML 1007). A final upgrade original UK mono copy of the famed debut eponymous album from the Duke (DML 1007). The record is in stunning Ex+ or archive condition. Quite simply unbeatable, there are few discernible markings noted even under intense LED lighting, the distinct lack of spindle markings indicating this copy has been played sparingly, if at all since 1967. Matrix: ARL-7754-1B& ARL-7755-1B. The original front laminated 'Printed In England By Clout & Baker Ltd' sleeve is in Ex+ condition - a fantastic example, there is but slight laminate and ringwear on the front with a couple of very light and minor creases on the reverse. Outstanding.

Los 4

DAVID BOWIE - HUNKY DORY LP (ORIGINAL UK FRONT LAMINATED PRESSING - SF 8244). Extremely seldom seen 1st UK pressing of Hunky Dory that would have had to been purchased extremely closely to the 17th December 1971 release date... This is of course the front laminated copy (SF 8244) with the original UK pressing LP. The sleeve is in superb Ex condition - a really top example, there is only a little light 'bubbling' to the laminate around the edges on the front, this is certainly not a major feature with the reverse very clean showing some very light foxing. The record is in solid VG condition showing some surface markings that are never heavier in nature with certainly no scratches. Matrix: APRS 5917 3T Bobil etched & APRS 5918 3T Rasputin etched. Complete with Ex condition insert.

Ltd and Copyright Control with side 2 stating Copyright Control and Essex Mus. Int. Ltd). The record is in Ex condition - a lovely clean copy, there are just a couple of rather light and minor surface markings to the playing surfaces; these are never heavier in nature with no scratches to mention whatsoever. Matrix: 852146 1Y//2* 1 1 3 & 852146 2Y//2 1 1 3. The gatefold sleeve is in Ex+ condition. Unlikely to come across finer, there is just some slight 'discolouration' on the front and on the inside of the gatefold, this is as stated very slight with very little wear noted elsewhere. DAVID BOWIE - THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD LP (1ST UK 'DRESS SLEEVE' - MERCURY 6338 041). Your final upgrade copy of the iconic 1st UK pressing The Man Who Sold The World. This here then is a stunning example quickly withdrawn controversial 'dress sleeve' released on Mercury in 1971 (6338 041). The record ('correct' Tony Visconti credits) is in Ex+ condition. A rather wonderful example, there are just a couple of extremely faint, tiny and wispy paper markings to the playing surfaces - with lovely clean labels showing a few light spindle markings. Matrix: 6338041 1Y//1 ? 420 1 1 4 & 6338041 2Y//1? 420 1 1 1. The sleeve is presented in flabbergasting Ex+ condition. Simply put in unbeatable condition, the textured nature of the design is in stunning order without any of the usual ringwear, rubbing or fading that is typically seen. The spine is also in wonderful condition too with just a very faint 'crease' (only just noticeable) on the bottom right corner (front).
