A 1949 Singer 9 4A roadster, registration number HJN 724, chassis number A2454S, engine number A2504S, green. Introduced by the Singer Motor Company in 1939 as an open version of the Singer Bantam saloon, production was suspended during hostilities and resumed after the war. The roadster would be upgraded to the 4A for 1949, with a four speed gearbox and would remain in production with subtle upgrades and changes until 1955. This charming and very original roadster is owned by an ASCO member. The coachwork is presented in light green with a complementary brown leather interior and weather gear consisting of hood and side screens. The vendor advises us that the ash frame appears sound with well fitting doors which shut well and do not drop on their hinges. The engine and running gear are also described as being in good condition, which enables the car to have a nippy turn of speed for its 1,071 cc engine. The Singer will be offered for auction with a substantial history file and a selection of useful and hard to obtain spares, including an engine block, gearbox, spare door, and front and rear offside wings. This Singer roadster offers much more exclusive transport than the usual contemporaries of Morris 8 and 10, and could be enjoyed by the next custodian with immediate effect. RF60 (copy), V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

Los 47

A 1948 MG TC, registration number LSU 781, chassis number TC 6479, engine number XPAGC58197, green. MG's first post WWII sports car, the TC remained in production for four years with a not inconsiderable 10,000 cars finding new owners. This particular example, which we have the pleasure in offering for sale, was originally an export model to the USA as part of the Export or Die British Government scheme. From information ascertained from an MG Octagon Car Club certificate it can be seen that the MG was re-imported from the USA in early 1988 and was previously fitted with an XPAG 7144 engine. Since arriving back on British soil the MG has seen considerable expenditure culminating in a very smart example. The coachwork has recently been re-sprayed in a very distinctive light metallic green, which complements the tan leather interior and matching weather gear. The vendor also advises us that the wire wheels have recently been refurbished and new tyres fitted. The MG is coming to auction with the history file containing receipts from marque specialists, newspaper articles, and an original instruction manual. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

The car is offered with a MSA competition logbook and will require some light recommissioning and final setting up before taking to the hill or circuit. MSA log book See illustration

A 1968 Morris Minor 1000 tourer, registration number NPN 268F, chassis number MAT5 0 1209411, Trafalgar blue. Revealed at the 1948 Earl's Court Motor Show, the new Minor, designed by Alec Issigonis, would go on to have a 24 year production run with over 1.3 million rolling off the production line in various forms. This example of the ever popular tourer has been restored by a previous owner to a high standard. In the current lady custodianship the Morris has been maintained by her husband, a garage owner. Finished in Trafalgar blue with a light blue interior, cream soft top and matching wheels, the Minor will be offered to auction with a history file. V5C, MOT to April 2018, tax exempt See illustrations

A 1934 Peugeot 301C commercial truck, registration number WSU 144, blue over black. This charming light commercial was imported into the UK in 1989 and is a bit of a celebrity, having appeared in both 'Allo 'Allo! and The Darling Buds of May. The vendor advises us that the wood structure, frame and flatbed have been renewed in recent times, together with a certain degree of restoration. The body and paintwork are said to be in good condition. It is accompanied to auction by a history file. Ideal for continued film work, promotion or just plain fun! V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration

A 1936 Austin Seven Opal, registration number DOF 563, blue over black. Introduced in 1934, the Opal and its sibling Ruby and Pearl models were an important step forward in the development of Austin's ever popular light car. They featured covered cowled radiators, smaller 17 inch wheels, flowing valanced wings and four speed gearbox with synchromesh on second, third and top gears, and self cancelling trafficators. This charming Opal is presented in original oily rag condition. The vendor informs us that the Austin runs and drives but has a slight water leak and requires some minor fettling. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration

Los 37

A 1975 Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior, unregistered, blue. The Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone designed 105/115 series of cars have been admired and coverted by collectors and enthusiasts since their conception. The 1300cc variant was launched in 1965 with its larger 1600cc sibling becoming available from 1972 with 14,299 finding enthusiastic owners before the final car rolled off the production line in 1976. This GT 1600 was originally supplied to the dry climate of South Africa. It would remain there until approximately eighteen months ago when it was imported into the UK. Finished in light blue with a cream leatherette interior, the Alfa is said by the vendor to run and drive but will require further setting up of the carburettors to obtain maximum performance. Further works carried out by the vendor include the refurbishment of the steel wheels and fitting of new tyres and the purchase of a boot carpet set (£150). The vendor has ***HMRC (not NOVA) paperwork*** and has confirmed the build date of 15th January 1975 with Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo. This very solid running and driving GT 1600 offers a straightforward rolling project for the next custodian and will be offered for auction with a set of period alloy wheels and the aforementioned paperwork. No MOT See illustrations

A 1959 Triumph TR3A, registration number TSV 616, chassis number TS 47448-0, engine number TS4800SE, Pearl grey. The TR3A with its rugged and handsome styling featured the wider front grille to aid cooling became available in 1957/1958. The styling would remain with minor revisions until the new TR4 became available in 1961. This charming home market right hand drive, overdrive, ***painted (not chrome) wire wheeled*** example comes direct from a deceased estate of a well known Bugatti & Bentley enthusiast. TSV 616 has obviously had a great deal of time, effort and expenditure lavished upon it in recent years. The body is presented in a subtle shade of Pearl grey with a contrasting red piped white interior, which suits the Triumph very well. Weather gear consists of black canvas hood, tonneau cover, hood cover and side screens. The accompanying history file contains an RF60 which identifies that the Triumph was originally registered XWY 616 and had a colour change to red (it is now presented in its original colour), receipts, past MOTs, DVLA correspondence, SORNs and sundry paperwork. Now requiring a service and light recommissioning due to its recent inactivity, this charming TR3A offers an economic alternative to its more expensive Jaguar and Austin Healey contemporaries. In 1964 the Rootes group revived the Humber Imperial name for its top of the range Humber Super Snipe. The car had vinyl clad roof and automatic transmission fitted as standard. Along with a luxuriously appointed interior featuring fully reclining front seats and separately controlled rear passenger heater. The model also featured electrically adjustable rear shock absorbers to aid ride comfort. Limited numbers were built and it is thought perhaps around 40-50 examples still exist in various states of repair. This maroon example paint code 70 body number SSSH 52312 by Thrupp and Maberly Ltd of London has in recent years benefited from a considerable amount of work to both the engine, mechanicals and body-work (see condition report for invoices present). The last MOT test carried out in 2015 showed no advisories and expired in August 2016. Supplied with a folder containing recent invoices. Not running. Buyer's premium of 10% (+VAT) applies to this lot The body-work of the vehicle appears to be generally good and presents to a reasonable standard with obvious signs of previous repair and body-filler present but no obvious signs of major corrosion. There are rust spots on some of the panels and the front windscreen appears to be incorrectly fitted at the o/s top edge which has led to water ingress. The vinyl roof appears to be in sound order. The car had vinyl clad roof and automatic transmission fitted as standard along with a luxuriously appointed interior featuring fully reclining front seats and separately controlled rear passenger heater. The current keeper then had the engine rebuilt including head repairs, head gasket etc in 23/03/2016 at a total cost of £3184.23 invoice included (see condition report for full details). Not running The vehicle has been parked up since the engine rebuild and we would suggest it is inspected before attempting to start it. The car still requires all of the other works addressing from the MOT fail. Buyer's premium of 10% (+VAT) applies to this lot The body of the car will require substantial repairs, all wheel arches are rusted the underside of the car is also rusty. See further down the report for mot failure list. The vinyl roof is split in places and the inside of the vehicle has suffered from water ingress.
