#PR98, 60c Pink, used, with neat duplex cancel, fairly strong color, thin at top and a light horizontal crease, fine appearance.[cr][lf][cr][lf]With this newly recorded example, the Philatelic Foundation has certified a total of twenty copies of #PR98, sixteen unused and only four used. Despite this large difference in rarity, the Scott catalog prices unused much higher ($55,000.00 vs. $16,000.00). This particular example is quite desirable, having a clear contemporary duplex cancel and its faults are quite minimal considering the numerous faults and/or repairs that plague nearly all of the few known used Bureau Issue newspaper stamps. The Scott catalog specifically notes that values are for stamps with fine centering and small faults.[cr][lf][cr][lf]An important rarity for the collector of newspaper stamps or used United States stamps. Accompanied by a 2012 PF certificate. View Terms & Conditions
