YOUTH CUP MAN UTD - BURNLEY 56 Beige coloured single sheet Manchester United home programme for game played at The Cliff, 8/10/56, Youth Cup v Burnley., First round. United had won the competition each year since the competition started and despite many of their more famous names being ineligible now, they defeated Burnley 5-2 with Dawson scoring all five goals. Burnley lost a player early on with a leg fracture and the ten men fought hard but without much joy. This was the fourth and last Youth Cup game to be played at The Cliff and the programme has the usual words stating the obvious, ie "To read-hold programme to light"., Score and scorers noted, slight fold, scarce item. Generally good

BOXING Large silk type material cloth measuring circa 90cm square and printed upon it is "Presented to George McDonald by Matt Wells who defeated Fred Welsh for the Earl of Lonsdale's Belt, £900 and Lightweight Championship of Great Britain at The National Sporting Club, Feb 27th 1911". Beneath this is a portrait of a boxer wearing a Lonsdale Belt with the notation "Amateur Light weight Champion 1904.5.6.7". The cloth is light beige coloured with a red and yellow border. Wells born in Walworth, London went on to claim the British Commonwealth Welterweight Championship title in 1914. Wells also competed in the 1908 Olympics. Good
SOUTHEND Collection of 8 Southend Utd Reserve home programmes v Fulham, Aldershot 60/1 and Swindon, Aldershot 61/2 (both with press cutting attached on reverse - all single sheets) plus 4 pagers v Bristol Rovers 64/5, Colchester, Aldershot and Luton 66/7 (Nov). The single sheets without press cuttings have marks where they once were. Some of the 4 pager have loose press cuttings. All have either score and scorers or team changes inserted with a light horizontal fold. Generally good
An Armand Marseille Bisque headed doll with composition body, arms and legs, the head with sleep eyes and open mouth, inscribed verso "Germany 995A9M" together with a Japanese part tea service CONDITION REPORTS Doll is approximately 49 cm in height. Hair appears to be replacement, the eyelids have chipping to the paintwork, there are surface scratches all over. There is chipping to the pantwork on the body and the extremeities especially to the fingers and feet. One foot appears to have been patched where it has been broken, generally in need of a clean, has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratches, minor chips etc - see images for further details. The tea set - there are five tea cups, one of which has a large chip and hairline crack. Four saucers, two of which have large chips. Four tea plates, one which has two large chips and hairline cracks. All items have general wear and tear to include surface scratching, light chips etc.
A Chinese famille-rose and pierced cylindrical hat stand vase with all-over floral and foliate decoration, bearing seal mark to base, together with a pair of Chinese oxide red glazed vases with figural panel decoration CONDITION REPORTS Red Chine oxide vases are approximately 25 cm tall, one vase has been significantly broken into many pieces and restored throughout. A small piece missing to the base. Various cracks, glue, repairs etc all over including obviously to the neck. The second vase is comparatively good, some light scratches, pierced light puncture mark to the decoration on the vase and a crack running across the body are evident on the white panels. both with various general signs of wear and tear throughout. Cylindrical pot has some chips to the rim and some chips to the pierced sided - various light scratches to the body, brown stains to the interior and general signs of wear and tear throughout

The big cup has various signs of repairs throughout - see images. A Copeland Spode's Italian blue and white transfer decorated tureen and cover, a circa 1900 biscuit fired porcelain figure group of two children seated with basket of apples, a pair of Continental porcelain figures of a drummer and hurdy gurdy player, a Volkstadt figure group of musicians, a pair of biscuit fired porcelain wall pockets and an ebony and silver mounted dressing table tray, mirror and a brush CONDITION REPORTS The tureen cover has a large chip to the edge. The figure of two children, the basket handle has been off and re-glued, there is a large chip to the back at the base and another smaller chip to the back base. The pair of figures - she is missing a thumb, her hand has been off and re-glued nad there seems to be some kind of deposit to her sleeve. He is missing the end of his flute/woodwind instrument. There are some losses to the extremities including the flowers. The Volkstadt figure group has had significant repairs to various places including the instrument on the floor, his neck, his hands. Her hands are chipped but not repaired, the tip is missing from her shoe. The wall pockets - one has been broken to the top left hand corner and re-glued and there is some chipping to the cornucopia to the front. The ebonised tray has a chunk missing from one corner, staining to varnish, wear to varnish in various places, scratching to the mirror. All items have general wear and tear to include surface scratches, light chips, and are in need of a good clean - see images for more details
