NORMAN MAKINSON (1921-2010); a Studio Pottery model of two birds on a circular tapering plinth base, height 12cm, length 10.5cm. (D)NB: Norman Makinson was born in Wolstanton, Staffordshire, and attended the Junior Arts School in Burslem from the age of 11 years old. He progressed to the position of Apprentice Decorator at the Wedgwood Pottery factory in 1936 and he designed the Festival of Britain mug (1951). STROMBERG; a contemporary Swedish art glass vase with etched decoration depicting birds perched on a tree, signed to base, height 28cm, together with an Orrefors glass vase with etched decoration depicting a galleon, height 19cm (2).Additional InformationEach with light scratches to the base, the Orrefors vase is cloudy and with minor chipping to the corners, the Stromberg vase is good with light scratches to the foot rim, there is an internal blemish to the back, otherwise good.

The large Myott jug has a rim chip spurning a crack approx 5cm. The medium jug is ok. The small jug has a tiny chip to the foot rim, all three have some surface scratches to the paint.
