A cased 5 shot 38 bore Adams model 1851 “Dragoon” self cocking percussion revolver,13½” overall, barrel 8” engraved “Deane, Adams & Deane (Makers to H.R.H. Prince Albert) 30 King William St. London Bridge”; London proved only on the cylinder; frame engraved with scrolls and “Adams’s Patent No 1419”; with scroll engraved trigger guard and chequered walnut butt, the steel butt cap with hinged trap containing a spare nipple. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining some original blued finish (patches of light rust staining overall, a small hole drilled through the butt); in its green baize lined fitted oak case with circular brass lid escutcheon, containing an Adams marked double cavity bronze mould for bullet and ball, a bag shaped copper flask (spring broken), an Eley cap tin with paper label (worn), and a pewter oil bottle by Dixon. A fine cased pair of German 60 bore percussion target or duelling pistols by G. Noack of Berlin, c 1860, 14½” overall, octagonal twist barrels 9”, deeply etched in contrasting colours and silver inlaid “G. Noack In Berlin”, with scroll engraved false breeches, German silver blade foresights and deep 8 groove rifling; breech tangs profusely scroll engraved, numbered “1” and”2” respectively, and with key adjustable rearsights; back action locks and dolphin head hammers profusely scroll engraved, and originally fitted with safety catches, now missing; light walnut half stocks having scroll carved chequered panels and flared butts, and with German silver barrel wedge plates; steel mounts comprise engraved oval butt caps with domed finials, each bearing the serial number 7568, and profusely engraved spurred trigger guards housing single set triggers. Very Good Condition, one action is in good working order, the other fails to hold on full cock, both were originally fitted with safety catches, now missing; in their close fitted blue velvet lined light mahogany case with rounded rosewood edging and small shield shaped brass lid escutcheon, containing bright steel double cavity mould for bullet and ball in as new condition, bush embossed copper flask with much original lacquer, nipple key with octagonal walnut handle, steel loading/cleaning rod with accessories, adjustable tubular brass powder measure, sight adjusting key, ivory cap box, brass oil bottle and nipple holder with two spare nipples. The whole in good clean condition (minor wear to velvet lining, case lid very slightly warped). Plate 47
A Victorian trooper’s helmet of the Fife Light Horse, brass edge bound white metal skull, top mount and spike, with white hair plume and small brass rosette, white metal crowned star helmet plate bearing the Thane of Fife on brass cross below this a white metal motto scroll “Pro Aris et Focis” with brass “FLH” in the centre, fabric headband (remainder of lining missing). Good Condition (very minor dents to skull). Plate 6
An interesting and unusual military bandsman’s sword c 1835, broad spatulate blade 20”, with twin and single fullers, heavy brass hilt, the straight crossguard with inset oak wreath panels and ornamental finials, the panelled grip with trophy of fasces and instruments over “6” (probably The 6th (Royal First Warwickshire) Regiment) over rosette of instruments on each side, lion’s head pommel with ring, see Wilkinson “British Military Bayonets” p10 for a similar pattern hilt to the 52nd Light Infantry. A Victorian officer’s mameluke hilted sword of the 10th Royal Hussars, curved fullered blade 32”, etched in scrolled, foliate panels, on one side with crowned VR cypher, “Royal/ X/ Hussars” and maker’s name “Wheeler & Robinson, 9 Prince’s St, Hanover Sqr (? unclear), London” and on the side with “X” in oval strap inscribed “The Prince of Wales’s Own Hussars” surmounted by feathers and motto, with battle honours “Peninsula” and “Waterloo” below, gilt mounted hilt, the crossguard with stud terminals and plain langets, back strap to ivory grips (tiny chip) with rosettes, in a non original silver plated scabbard with 2 rings. Good Condition (hilt regilt, blade some wear and light pitting patches). Plate 20
A Third Reich SA dagger, by Herm Linder Sohn, Solingen, with nickel silver mounts, in its anodised sheath with hanging strap, the crosspiece and locket engraved “Mar Brig 4 7164”, the crosspiece also stamped “Nm” (Nordmark SA group). GC (patches of light pitting to blade, minor scratches to sheath). Plate 5
A group of mainly WWII Australian insignia, including cap badges of the RAAF and ASC, collar badges of 1st Light Horse Regt, Signals, Ordnance, Staff Corps and an earlier Garrison Artillery, wreath type metal trade badges include MG, and wireless operator, other arm badges including armoured car, various shoulder titles, crowns, pips and buttons, and a lapel badge of the Civilian Constructional Corps, mtd on a piece of buff felt; also 22 naval cloth arm badges and Australian formation patches, mounted on a piece of blue felt. GC The vendor states that these were brought back from Australia by a US soldier in WWII.

A good French M 1822 light cavalry trooper’s sword, curved, fullered blade 36”, marked “Mre d’Armes de Chatt. Janvier 1878 = Cavrie Lre Mle 1822” on backstrap, narrow back fuller to centre section, brass hilt, the guard with reinforced edges, 2 sidebars, slightly forward sloping cap shaped pommel, ribbed leather grip (most wire removed) in its darkened steel scabbard with single ring, matching nos “3225” to hilt and scabbard. Near VGC, with much original finish to blade and scabbard. Plate 4
A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper’s sword, curved, shallow fullered blade 33”, marked “Josh H. Reddell & Co” on backstrap, with inspector’s stamp in fuller at forte, regulation stirrup hilt with langets, plain pommel and backstrap with ears to ribbed leather grip (worn patch at top), in its steel scabbard, with 2 rings, marked “Osborn & Gunby, Birmm”. An 1821 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword, very slightly curved blade 34”, etched with crowned VR cypher on one side and scrolls “Middlesex Yeomanry”on the other, in foliate panels, regulation steel hilt with knucklebow, sideloop and 2 sidebars, stepped pommel with prominent stud, plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip. Basically GC (some wear, dark patina overall).

Basically GC (dark surface rust patina to hilt and scabbard).
A .177” Haenel “X” break action tinplate air gun, nickel plated overall; “DaisyNo 102 Model 36 500 Shot” underlever tinplate air gun; and an American “Upton Model D” underlever air gun. A .56” (?) flintlock holster pistol of Light Dragoon type, 15” overall, barrel 9” with ordnance proofs, the cast replacement lock bearing crowned “GR” and “Tower” marks, walnut fullstock with regulation brass mounts and replacement ramrod. An interesting and probably unique .577” underlever hinged breech single shot 3 band rifle, 55” overall, barrel 38” with Enfield type rifling and military pattern folding ladder rearsight; plain slab sided action with spurred trigger guard/underlever; the walnut fullstock having steel butt plate, single sling swivel, and no provision for cleaning rod. GWO & basically GC (no visible markings or proofs, metalwork with light to moderate pitting overall, the butt scuffed and requires cleaning). Probably an experimental or prototype piece. Plate 8
