A great pair of images, one showing a centaur figure at a fast gallop, the other side showing a more aged figure an iron and envelope in hand. Heinrich Kley (1863-1945?) was a German illustrator, editorial illustrator and painter. Kley studied "practical arts" at the Karlsruhe Akademie and finished his studies in Munich. His early works were conventional portraits, landscapes, still-life, city scenes and historical paintings. Kley attained greater notoriety with his sometimes darkly humorous pen drawings, many appearing in periodical such as Jugend and Simplicissimus. A set of twelve Scandinavian silver gilt and enamel harlequin teaspoons, with matching sugar tongs, in a J Tostrup Oslo case See illustration Condition report Report by GH The spoons are each 10 cm long and the sugar tongs are 11 cm long. The tops of the enamelled bowls of the spoons all have small areas of loss to the tops of the bowls and light wear to the silver gilt. These have clearly been used. The case is generally in reasonable condition with a few scuffs.

It is easy to find the spot where Charles Batten sat with his watercolours' Some discolouration around the edges of the picture and some light spotting, particularly evident in the sky on the left of the picture. However colours generally very good and overall presents well

A 19th century mahogany chest, of five drawers, 107 cm wide Condition report Report by GH Generally very solid with some light scratches and marks and some old small restorations. Handles not original. Various areas of repairs to cockbeading. Drawer liners generally in good condition. Bottom drawer lacking a lock. Overall good.
An inlaid mahogany chest, with brushing slide above four long drawers, on bracket feet, 75 cm wide Condition report Report by GH One veneer crack on the top and some light scratches. Sides and back boards generally in good condition. Rear left leg probably replaced and front left leg with a repaired section visible from the front. The top drawer is stamped Davis & Co and 255 Tottenham Court Road. The drawer fronts and the friezes between the drawer fronts all have various veneer patches and repairs. The cockbeading is generally in good condition with occasional dents and chips. The drawers all have glued in paper lining. Replacement handles.
A French gilt bronze and ivory figure, of a girl wearing a bonnet and dress, with Lehman foundry mark, on a marble base, 19 cm high Condition report Report by GH Generally grubby, some small chips and nibbles to foot-rim of base. Some discolouration and browning to gilt bronze, and some loss to gilt, particularly around the shoulders. Some very light cracking and ingrained dirt to ivory face.
A gentleman's 9ct gold Omega manual wind wristwatch, with subsidiary seconds, and a Dunhill gold plated petrol cigarette lighter (2) Condition report Report by GH The watch winds and ticks and appears to be working at this moment in time. Cosmetically the watch is in reasonably good condition with only light signs of wear. One or two small dents to the back. The lighter works and has a spare lid which is initialled. The lighter is a Dunhill Rollagas type lighter. Charterhouse does not guarantee the working condition of any watches or clocks.
A 19th century farmhouse box settle, 161 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by GH One rear slat missing. Otherwise various age related marks and wear, including sun-fading, water staining, dark and light areas, ring marks etc, as well as scratches, dents and chips commensurate with age and use. Some old wood worm damage to the front of the hinging seat with areas of loss to the wood. There is also a crack on the right hand side of this seat. Otherwise generally extremely solid and heavily built, and does not appear to have been adapted.
A pair of Japanese geisha figures, each holding books, 44 cm high (2) Condition report Report by GH Some losses to the black glaze on one of the figures, and some light wear to the gilding but most of it has generally held up well. Some other areas of paint/glaze loss and a firing crack underneath. The other figure generally better with very little loss to the black glaze and gilding generally good. No obvious major damages or repairs to either piece.

Colours generally strong. Frame and mount also good. Each of the panels are 43 x 9 cm. The whole framed unit is 62 x 36.5 cm. Report by GH The Chartwell picture: generally in reasonable condition with no obvious foxing or spotting. Frame and mount generally quite grubby. The Harold Latham picture: generally a little worse with water staining to the mount and some light spotting to the image. Colours have generally held up well. Lastly the sleeves are a little discoloured but do not appear to be damaged or repaired.

The dial is in good condition. The gold bezel which holds the glass cover has become detached from the main case. The inner dust cover is also 9ct gold. The case is generally in good condition apart from the usual marks, light scratching etc of general wear and the case opens freely when the winder is pushed down. Case approx. 48 mm diameter Charterhouse does not guarantee the working condition of any watches or clocks.
