There is a hairline crack to one side which extends from the mouth rim to the foot rim, however it appears surface level. There are chips and some restoration to the top of one handle towards the head of the aquatic creature. There is loses to the glaze in one area of the body, possibly from production. There is scattered surface marks, dirt, loses and surface scratches commensurate with age and use. Examination under UV light shows no fluorescence. Subject to these points, the vase presents well and the aquatic figures have good expressive quality.
