(indistinct) and "Painted by J E Corries ...", back card/paper with various wear and scuffs, remnants of previous fitments, metal fitments at back bent and mis-shapen, some knocks and scuffs to frame, miniature itself has some light general wear, some very slight pitting to to surface, plus a very feint vertical line to the background to the right of the picture - possibly a hairline crack, there are some white paint splodges/deposits to the lower edge of the picture.

19TH CENTURY CHINESE SCHOOL "Cricket and butterflies amongst fruit and flowers", gouache on rice paper, together with another similar of "Flowering pears", 28 cm x 17.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Both are painted on rice paper. The painting with crickets and butterflies has some wear and creases, and tear to right edge of picture, some dirt and marks, various scuffs and scratches to surface of picture. The painting of pears and blossom has some light general wear and scuffs, and slight undulations to the paper, but otherwise appears sound.
ANTHONY VANDYKE COPLEY FIELDING (1787-1855) "The Wharf, Bolton Abbey in the distance", oil on canvas, signed lower right, inscribed on various labels verso, 28.5 cm x 39.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Frame with wear, splits and some chips and losses, and blackening, painting itself with some wear, dirt and craqueleur, under UV light painting has a mostly milky look but with darker blobs and specks so possibly some areas of touch-up paint particularly to trees and some marks across the sky.
JAMES FRY (1900-) "The River Frome near Holmebridge", landscape study, oil on board, initialled bottom right, inscribed verso and bearing label, 30 cm x 50 cm, together with two further works by the same hand CONDITION REPORTS All with some light general wear, scuffs and dust, a few specks/splashes of dirt or paint, and a few tiny flakes and scuffs particularly to the largest which has quite a matt finish to the surface, overall however all appear in reasonably good order.
WALTER JOHN BEAUVAIS (1942-1988) "Impressionistic study of girl fishing", oil on canvas, signed lower left, "Hollywood Road Gallery" label verso, 39 cm x 48.5 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some light general wear, scuffs and dust, but overall appears in reasonably good condition. Frame with a few bumps and chips, size of frame approx 58 x 68 cm.
VERNON WARD (1905-1985) "Swans alighting from river", oil on canvas, signed bottom right, 63 cm x 76 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Overall some light wear and scuffs, some slight ridges near the stretchers which are showing through the canvas and some ridges/lines/creases visible to the surface of the canvas, a few small scuffs, frame has quite a lot of cracks and chips, some areas of the picture have a more matt appearance than others.
THOMAS LUNY (1759-1837) "The rescue", study of stormy coastal landscape with ship near to shore and figures ferrying sailors ashore, further figures in the foreground", oil on canvas, signed bottom left and dated 1826, 51 cm x 68.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Canvas has been re-lined, frame appears to have some repairs under re-painting and also some cracks, chips and losses, craqueleur to paint to picture. Under UV light the painting can be seen to have had some restoration throughout and some touch-up/re-painting including numerous small areas to the sky and throughout, plus an area between two of the boats near the lower right section of the picture and near the legs of the third figure from the right, also slightly larger area of re-painting to the sea to the left of the stricken vessel, however the majority of the restored areas, judging by their size and shape, appear to be due to repair of craqueleur and/or small flakes rather than to any major areas of damage.
GEORGE ARMFIELD (1810-1893) "Spaniels putting up Mallard from rivers edge", oil on canvas, 46 cm x 61 cm (Provenance : Christie's Lot No. 159, Sale No. 427) CONDITION REPORTS Under ultra-violet light appears very cloudy throughout suggesting re-varnishing, also appears to have had some touch-up paint and restoration including a repair/patch to the left of the sky and also to the left margin in the sky, various other areas of touch-up paint to the sky and to the left of the centre tree and to the dog and grass areas, some craqueleur, appears to have been re-lined. Frame with various splits and chips, and some areas of loss, and appears to have been re-painted.
18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Gentleman in red coat with white stock" and "Lady in gold embellished white dress", portrait studies, half length, oil on canvas, unsigned, 75.5 cm x 63 cm and 76 cm x 63 cm respectively CONDITION REPORTS Frames with various splits, joins, separating and repairs, chips and losses. Canvas has been re-lined. Under UV light the paintings have overall a very milky appearance suggesting re-varnishing, also some darker patches suggesting restoration and/or re-painting, particularly some quite large areas to the red coat on the right side of the painting, and some touch-up and darker areas to cheek, bridge of nose and left of mouth, plus darker areas around edges of picture. Both with some bowing and undulations to surface of the canvas.
B. ROBERTS "Flower girl seated by wall", oil on canvas, signed and dated 74 lower left, 70 cm x 57 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and some craqueleur to paint. Under UV light painting shows up fairly milky suggesting re-varnishing, also some darker patches suggesting some touch-up paint and restoration particularly to background and perimeter of hair, to left side of her arm and near hand, and including along bottom of basket and dress. Overall condition however appears to be reasonably good.
LATE 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Elizabeth Nevison", lady seated in white dress with feathered cap, half length, portrait study, with landscape unfolding in background, oil on canvas, unsigned, bears remnants of old label verso, 75.5 cm x 62 cm CONDITION REPORTS Picture has been re-lined and appears to have had replacement stretchers, and is also smaller than the frame aperture, frame with wear, scuffs, old woodworm holes, some re-gilding, chips and losses to the mouldings and decoration, painting itself has some craqueleur, sellotaped to the back of the frame are remnants of an old paper hand-written label (please see photos), also under UV light painting appears to have had some re-varnishing and some minor areas of restoration which mostly appear to be touched in paint to the craqueleur plus a small re-painted area to just near her right shoulder, the craqueleur to her face and bodice are quite pronounced under UV light.
19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Gentleman in black coat with white stock" and "Lady in mop cap", portrait studies, half length, a pair, oil on canvas, 76 cm x 63 cm CONDITION REPORTS Both frames with various cracks, splits and losses, and some areas of repair and re-painting. Painting of gentleman has quite a milky appearance under UV light, with the hair and outline of his coat showing up lighter, plus a dark area to the right of the bridge of his nose, craqueleur to surface of paint and some slight indentations and undulations to canvas. Both paintings appear to have been re-lined. Painting of the lady under UV light appears quite patchy particularly to the background where there appears to have been some restoration and repairs, also quite a lot of dark areas to her clothing, and repaired split, face appears in reasonable order with no obvious signs of restoration under UV light, frame does have some areas of moulding missing.
ENGLISH SCHOOL IN THE MANNER OF SIR GODFREY KNELLER (1646-1723) "Andrew Barker of Fairford", portrait study with country house and gardens in background, three quarter length, oil on canvas, unsigned, 127 cm x 102.5 cm, together with a companion "Mrs. Lambe", portrait study of young lady in white silk dress with pearl embellishments, with a landscape unfolding in the background, three quarter length, oil on canvas, unsigned, 127 cm x 102.5 cm, the pair in matching carved giltwood and gesso frames (2) CONDITION REPORTS Both frames with various chips and losses, re-painting and cracks, and repairs. Both paintings with wear, dirt and scuffs, and craqueleur to paint. Painting of the gentleman : has some wrinkling and areas of loss to paint at top edge of picture, under UV light has a quite a milky appearance plus a dark area bottom right corner of the picture - either some touch-up paint or possibly a small repaired split, plus a few splashes to the surface and a horizontal pale area to his robes approx 1 cm wide and 10 cm long, also some dark patches to the right of the picture, overall appears to have had some restoration, paint missing bottom left corner of picture, and some evidence of restoration in that areas also, quite a lot of wrinkling and undulations to the very top edge of the picture. Both paintings appear to have been re-lined. Painting of the lady : under UV light has a milky appearance overall and just a few quite small areas of touch-up paint and restoration, mostly forming small specks including near her nose, a couple of little areas on her eyes, some to background just to the right of her shoulder, a few further specks throughout plus a slightly larger area to the lower right of her dress, but generally appears in reasonably good order.
A 19th Century stoneware hot water jug marked "Prince Albert" and "Queen Victoria", with electro-plated lid, mask head spout and handle in the form of a greyhound, the body relief decorated with Royal Crest bearing lion and unicorn, cornucopia and bust of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, 28 cm high including lid CONDITION REPORTS Lid is very worn with the plating mostly worn away, body of jug with wear and scuffs, various firing blemishes and firing faults, top section of jug around spout, neck and upper section of dog is of a different brown to the body, with the brown colour to upper half having a much more uniform appearance, possibly indicating some repairs and/or re-painting, the jug under UV light appears quite speckled both inside and out.
A Chinese porcelain moon flask decorated in underglaze blue to both sides with dragons, and with scrolling foliate pierced handles, 27 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some light general wear and scuffs, various firing blemishes, firing deposits and some firing faults, but overall appears to be sound.
A Chinese porcelain moon flask, decorated in underglaze blue to both sides with figures in a landscape, a gentleman with ox and dog in foreground, and with applied dragon handles, 30.25 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall some light general wear and scuffs, some firing faults and firing blemishes. A large chip / area missing to the tail of one of the applied dragon handles. But otherwise appears OK.
A Chinese porcelain ginger jar painted in underglaze blue with birds amongst blossoming branches and with rocks and chrysanthemums and painted with a bat / butterfly verso, 16.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some light general wear and scuffs, various firing blemishes, but generally appears sound.
A Chinese porcelain fruit bowl, decorated in the famille-rose palette with floral sprays within cartouches and with flowers and butterflies, 27 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Some light rubbing to the decoration throughout, particularly to the rim. Slightly dirty. There are some chips to the footrim. There may be a small area of restoration to the base of the foot - please see images.
A mid 18th Century wine glass with waisted bucket shaped bowl to stem with double series opaque white twist - an opaque gauze - surrounded by an opaque white spiral band to plain base, 16.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some light general wear, plus various small specks and deposits, and small bubbles within the glass, overall appears sound.
A mid 18th Century wine glass with waisted trumpet shaped bowl, the stem with a top knop, two inverted balusters and a base knop, to a domed foot, 17 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall some light general wear. Various bubbles and blemishes within the glass, particulalry to the footrim and stem plus a few to the bowl, and a few specs and deposits within the glass, but overall appears sound.
A mid 18th Century goblet with a tall waisted cup shaped bowl and multiple spiral air twist stem to plain foot, 16 cm high, and an early 18th Century trumpet shaped dram glass, the moulded pedestal stem with hollow column to folded foot, 11 cm high (2) CONDITION REPORTS Show general wear with some light scratches conducive to age. There are a couple of air bubbles to main body. Foot has a few deeper scratches to underside.
A Lalique "Gui" (Mistletoe) vase inscribed "R. Lalique" to base, 17 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Base to underside is entirely frosted and bears a moulded mark in capital letters "R. LALIQUE", mould mark visible vertically through top rim and down side of vase in four places (opposing), base also bears a scratched/etched mark which appears to be the letters "F W", overall some light general wear and scuffs.
A miniature glass mug, etched "Coronation of King George June 22nd 1911", with fern to reverse, 5.5 cm high, together with a miniature glass mug etched "Tak A Wee Drappie", with fern to reverse, 5 cm high, an early 19th Century Waterford port glass with cut glass sides, facet cut stem and plain base, 8 cm high, a mid 18th Century waisted beaker, 6.5 cm high, a toasting glass of bucket shape, 6.5 cm high, a mid 19th Century schnapps toasting glass with trumpet shaped bowl and solid glass inverted trumpet foot, 8.75 cm high, an early 19th Century custard glass with bell shaped bowl, the stem with a single knop and plain foot the pontil mark ground out, 9 cm high, and a mid 18th Century firing dram with bucket shaped bowl and heavy thick foot, 6.5 cm high, and a firing glass with bucket shaped bowl and thick base etched with Masonic symbols, 8 cm high (9) CONDITION REPORTS All items show signs of general wear, with some light scratching and several glasses have original bubbles / faults. The small handled cup has a small pinhead size chip to the underside of the rim. One of the smaller glasses with image of underside has a large original air bubble to the foot. Another glass's stem has a deep scratch to the foot. Another glass with handle has some deep scratches the main body.
A set of five early to mid 20th Century ceiling lights, each supported on a pendant fitting with cast copper oak leaf decoration to the cylinder form lights fitted with cut glass sectional uprights, 101 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs, posts to the top appear to have been altered and cut down, some bear screw fittings and others appear to have had these cut away, appears to have been some repairs to the metalwork, some chips to the glass prisms and a few of the prisms with some losses, three of the lights appear to have all of their glass fittings although in each case there is one upright which is just a plain thin section of glass (so possibly a later replacement), one of the lights appears to have one or more of the glass prisms missing and the fifth light has about half of the glass fittings missing, there are four floral shaped glass sections which fit above the bulb present and one is missing, there are five circular metal ceiling fittings with screw holes present, there are two cut glass domed sections present only, each of the light frames bear a small swivel "hatch" through which the glass prisms can be inserted or removed. Size of each cylindrical section (which holds the glass prisms) is approx 23.5 cm high excluding acanthus fitments and finnials, and approx. 19.5 cm diameter, height of the acanthus decorated and baluster/ring decorated section above the cylindrical frames is approx 20.5 cm high, and the posts above this are approx 55 cm long, the five circular metal ceiling brackets do vary slightly and some still appear to have the sections of the sawn off post attached to them, they do have some mis-shaping also.
A George V Kings Shropshire Light Infantry Officer's sword, the engraved blade with shagreen covered grip and pierced knuckle guard inscribed "KSLI", 99 cm long overall, housed in a leather covered scabbard CONDITION REPORTS Scabbard with quite heavy wear and scuffs, some tears to leather, various replacement sections of leather (please see photos). Sword has some general wear, scuffs and scratches, knuckle guard is rusted, fitments with wear and scuffs, grip with wear and scuffs, please see photos for details of condition.
An RAF dress sword in the manner of Wilkinsons of Pall Mall, the engraved fullered blade with shagreen and wirework grip, the pierced brass knuckle guard with RAF insignia, the handle with eagles head finial, 96 cm long overall, housed in a brass mounted leather scabbard, together with a black leatherette outer scabbard bearing label inscribed "Flight. Lieut. E H Fielden" crossed out to read "Wing Commander", and another label inscribed "HRH The Duke of Kent, K.G. Wing Commander E H Fielden ..." (Provenance : Air Vice Marshall Sir Edward "Mouse" Fielden GCVO, CB, DFC, AFC [deceased], personal pilot to Edward VIII when Prince of Wales, Chief Air Pilot and Extra Equerry, then Captain of the King's Flight/Queen's Flight - for further information please contact the Auctioneers) CONDITION REPORTS Outer black cover with chamois interior is quite worn and creased and has replacement strap, and some small tears, bears "HRH The Duke of Kent KG" label with ink inscription verso "EHF's sword cover hanging in Fr. Hall", and inscribed in pen "Wing Commander Fielden" and a label stamped "Flight.Lieut H Fielden", and written in ink "Wing Commander". Scabbard has had some repairs and inserted sections (please see photos), and has wear and scuffs. Sword : the very tip is bent over, blade generally with some light wear and scuffs, grip and knuckle guard with some general wear and scuffs, some of the wirework has moved/is coming loose, some slight tarnish.
An early 20th Century Court sword, the etched blade inscribed "Hill Brothers, Old Bond St, London", with engraving of flags verso, the hilt of shaped cup form inscribed with Victorian Royal cypher, the wirework handle with wrythen twist decorate knuckle guard and Queens Crown pommel, 92 cm long overall, housed in an engraved brass mounted leather scabbard, together with leatherette outer case CONDITION REPORTS Outer black case is quite worn and deteriorated with some losses to surface of fabric and some small splits and repairs. Scabbard with some wear and scuffs, and some splits to leather. Very tip of the sword is slightly bent, blade with some light general wear and scuffs, grip with some light wear and a small section of the wound wirework is separating.

The dark blue/black leather crocodile skin effect album - very worn to edges, general wear to leather, first two pages are quite crumpled and have foxing, photos generally have some browning/yellowing but are clear. Album with Jamaica etc - outside has scuffs, marks and wear, overall in reasonably good condition with some foxing to the edges of the boards and to one or two photos but overall images are in reasonably sound condition and clear with small amount of browning to some. Album of India - binding has some general wear, fading and scuffs, a small amount of foxing on the edges of the boards, overall photos reasonably good with some very light browning, some of the invitations have browned and have some foxing. The largest album - has got very damp on the outside and the board is splitting, wear to covers, corners and edges, and first page is very foxed and with some dried mould, pages and boards are worn to edges and have signs of wear and damp and with some rips to edges, photos have browning to some but very little foxing, there are well over 50 images of aircraft throughout the albums, plus numerous aerial photos. The various documentation, maps, letters etc are all quite browned and worn and some have got damp, although all are very readable and have been stored away for some considerable time. Some images are very creased.
An Omar Ramsden beaten silver pedestal bowl with flared rim raised on a circular stepped base with rope twist decoration, inscribed "Omar Ramsden fecit" to base (London 1933), 8.4 cm high, approx. 8.4 oz CONDITION REPORTS Diameter approx. 12 cm. Overall with some light general wear and scuffs, shaping is slightly uneven but overall appears sound.
A pair of David Andersen novelty peppers in the form of owls with white and black enamelled decoration, stamped "D.A Norway Sterling 925S" to base CONDITION REPORTS Both have some light general wear and scuffs, but generally appear to be OK, foot rims are slightly uneven in shape and the stoppers are made of plastic.
A white gold dress ring set with two grey pearls and two diamonds approx 0.55 carat each, the ring inscribed "16-2-56", size Q CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some light general wear and scuffs. We are unable to comment on colour or clarity of stones, and would suggest viewing in person. There are some joins visible to the interior of the ring where the band/shoulder meets the settings.

Cufflinks with engraved decoration have general wear and scuffs, and some light scratches and tiny knocks to edges, and these are hallmarked. Gross weight of cufflinks bearing "G" is 14.3 gms, and gross weight for cufflinks bearing "EE" is 7.9 gms.
A pair of gold and garnet set cluster style earrings CONDITION REPORTS Has some light general wear and some slight scratching particularly to backs and some tiny knocks to edges of floral decoration, but otherwise appear in reasonably good condition. Gross weight including stones and fitments 2.9 gms.
A turned ivory and stained ivory chess set, the pieces turned by A. W. Jones in the early 80's from the buttons rescued from the organ of The United Reform Church Putney during it's bombing in 1944, one of only two produced, the other owned by Prince Charles, housed in a converted mahogany and birdseye maple music box, together with a modern chess board (Article 10 Certificate No 536579/01) CONDITION REPORTS Some light general wear, some pieces with some slight yellowing, white King is signed to base "A W Jones", small fault/blemish to one of the sections of turning to the white Queen - possibly a fault line in the ivory or blemish within the ivory, and some similar blemishes to the Castle, stained ivory pieces are a dark reddish-brown colour, has some light wear and a few minor scuffs, but overall condition appears to be good. Converted box has lined compartments within, some of the compartments have linings missing. Chess board has some wear and scuffs, and some separating at joins, veneer missing to one side and veneers to other side appear to be of a formica type material and with a plyboard type base.
A ladies gold cased Omega wristwatch, the circular dial inscribed "Omega Swiss Made" with brown leather Apollo strap CONDITION REPORTS From a good local private vendor. Overall some light general wear, leather strap with some wear and creasing, back of watch with some wear and scuffs and some scratches, glass and face of watch appear to be in good condition. We can make no guarantee as to whether watch is complete or in working order. Gold untested, carat not known.

The Henry and Alice card has wear, dirt and scuffs, some creasing and fading and foxing. The photo inscribed Rusty has some wear and fading and frame has some stains and scuffs. General Georges postcard has wear and slight browning/discolouration and some slight creasing. 1973 card has extensive creasing / folds vertically through centre and is mis-shapen. The 1974 card has some small creases and some light wear and scuffs.
