A rare Hornby ‘O’ gauge Water Tank. A fine example of the Water Crane equipped with a blue electric light to the tank. The base, column and ladder are green, the tank yellow with a red interior and the lamp shade is blue. Finished with a white plastic filling hose and unpainted chain & fittings. 5 early post-war German tinplate items Arnold turbo-prop DC-6, a clockwork 4-engined airliner in Scandinavian Airlines silver and white livery, registration SK-SAS, 300mm wing span; battery-powered remote control Schuco sedan in light blue with red and cream litho interior and poseable wheels with white wall tyres, plus instruction leaflet; the body shell only of a similar piece in cream; 2 smaller clockwork Schuco cars. The DC-6 comes with an interestingly illustrated box making into an airport terminal building (significant wear). Items QGC for age, some rusting.
A scarce early 1960s Victory Industries “VIP Roads & Raceway set”. A Scalextric style race car set comprising two single seater racing cars – Lotus RN6 in light blue and another in BRG RN 2. Plus sections of straight and curved tin quick-lock track With arch bridge sections. Complete with two additional cars, a Lotus and a Cooper T51. Also two small hand-held push-button controllers and instruction manual. Boxed, complete with packing, minor wear for age. Also an interesting Model Collector article from 2003 covering the subject. Plus two packs of optional spare track – 2 x 2 straight track units (R11). Contents GC-VGC, mostly minor wear. One car requires attention to front wheels.

A 2001 limited issue quality die-cast model finished in traditional red with working features including take off wheels, opening fuel cap, flip up lights, plus a detailed interior and engine bay with support for engine cover. A Marx Toys battery operated series 1 Land Rover. A 1/24 scale plastic toy from the late 1950’s. In light grey with silver detailing, truck cab style with rear ‘canvas’ tilt. A rare mid to late 1920’s French tinplate clockwork C.I.J. Alfa Romeo P2 racing car. A long ago restored example, repainted in red. Now minus its cloverleaf badges and racing number 2 plus tops to fuel caps, and radiator are also absent. These large scale toys, measuring 53cm in length, were produced in the national colours of countries competing in Grand Prix races of the time, red for Italy, blue for France and silver for Germany. This example is complete with its original spoked wheels and treaded tyres, steering wheel and brake lever. The clockwork motor is in working order but tired. QGC-GC The body is generally in good condition with only light denting, the steering requires renovation. Plate. See inside front cover
A scarce Chad Valley clockwork tinplate ‘Games’ Delivery Van. Produced in the 1930’s and again just after the end of WW2 in 1946. This popular toy was called the ‘Games’ van because of the many games produced by the maker illustrated on its roof and to the upper sides of the vehicle. Measuring 25cm it was powered by a simple forward only clockwork motor, fitted with a period Dennis style radiator grill and tinplate lights, ‘CV10032’ number plate to front and rear, two piece tinplate wheels and opening rear door. To the sides are also the Royal Warrant and crest, plus the company name ‘The Chad Valley Co.Ltd, Harborne England’. GC for age some wear/light rusting. Clockwork motor in working order, with a key. A Tri-ang Spot-On Royal Rolls Royce (260). A Phantom V long wheelbase limousine with panoramic glazed section to rear half of roof. Flying the Royal Standard. Includes chauffeur, attendant in front seats and H.M. The Queen and Prince Philip in the rear seats. In Maroon with light blue interior. VGC, minor marks. String to one wheel. Underside battery carrier and roof Coat of Arms shield is missing. Plate. See inside front cover.

An unusual AEC Cab Over ‘Mr. Therm’ Prototype delivery lorry. In dark green livery featuring Mr. Therm logo and lettering of ‘The Gas, Light & Coke Co’- ‘Mr Therm Burns To Serve You’. Note: The vendor was a former Corgi employee at Swansea, who acquired the sample when the factory closed down. GC some wear/scratching.
