Alington, the first missionary on the Mekran Coast, to his brother Rev/ Alington at Spilsby, Lincolnshire. All have manuscript superscriptions indicating where the covers emanate from, nearly all being at Jask, and all are endorsed "Via Southampton". A Dital Harp by Edward Light, early 19th century, gilt detailed '599 Light Foley Place London', detailed with a figure playing the harp below the circular sound hole, ebonised with gilt foliate decoration, with acanthus carved capital over a fluted handle, with seven segments to the rear, 82.5cm, (a.f).
Two Moorcroft pottery rectangular covers, one decorated with Spring Flowers design against a pale green ground, impressed factory mark with facsimile signature to underside, the other decorated with Freesia design against a light blue ground, impressed factory mark to underside, both framed, total length of each approx 16cm.
A Coalport French style vase and cover, circa 1851-1861, pierced sectional body and cover, the light blue imitation bleu du roi ground painted with various single panels of flowers, the cover with flower finial, gilt line rims, CBD factory marks to both cover and base, 15.5cm high (base at fault)
