A most interesting French light cavalry officer’s sword from the field of Waterloo engraved with details, curved shallow fullered sharpened blade 36”, double edged at point, brass hilt retaining traces of gilt, with knucklebow, quillon, pointed oval langets, knucklebow and 2 sidebars, lion’s head pommel and ribbed backstrap, the inner langet and side of knucklebow engraved “This sword, either Prussian or French was brought from the field immediately after the Battle of Waterloo by Capt Willm Booth of the 15th Hussars and by him presented to B. Sayle in 1816”, wirebound leather grip. Good Condition Plate 66
A scarce 10 bore New Land Pattern flintlock musket, 58” overall, barrel 42”with ordnance proofs; the plain lock with ring neck cock and raised pan, the plate bearing ordnance inspector’s mark and stamped with crowned “GR” and “Tower”, walnut fullstock with clear crowned broad arrow over “1805” storekeeper’s mark on the butt, regulation brass mounts, sling swivels with buff leather sling, and original steel ramrod. Good Working Order and Condition the barrel retaining much original browned finish beneath some light rust (the tumbler screw repaired) Plate 68

Nock, 55” overall, barrel 39” with London proofs, maker’s mark and ordnance inspector’s mark, the line engraved rounded lock with swan neck cock, engraved “H. Nock” and bearing ordnance inspector’s mark, the walnut fullstock with old dark varnished finish, regulation India pattern mounts, and sling swivels, the butt plate tang engraved with rack number “7”. Good Working Order and generally untouched condition (a few worm holes and some flaking to varnish); with its triangular socket bayonet, the blade bearing ordnance inspector’s mark (one partly legible) and maker’s name “I. Rock & Co” Good Condition (some light rust). Plate 68
A .65” Dublin Castle Elliott flintlock cavalry carbine of the 21st Light Dragoons, c 1800, 42¾” overall, barrel 27½” with ordnance proofs and stamped “21st L.Ds”, secured to the stock with 3 flat wedges; the flat lined lock bearing ordnance inspector’s mark, crowned “GR”, “Dublin Castle”, and initials “T.P (Thomas Pattison of Dublin, c 1800-1806); the walnut fullstock with regulation type brass mounts including typical Dublin Castle “chunky” trigger guard, flat sideplate stamped with small “Pattison”, the butt plate tang engraved “H/50”, with saddle bar and ring on the left side and original swollen and grooved steel ramrod. Good Working Order and Condition with good age patina, with its triangular socket bayonet, the blade with maker’s initials “GS”. Plate 68
A scarce late 18th century .65” Tower Light Dragoon pattern flintlock holster pistol of the 1st Life Guards, 15” overall, barrel 9” with ordnance proofs and engraved “1t R = L = G/ C/ 53”, the flat lined lock with ring neck cock, stamped with ordnance inspector’s mark, crowned “GR” and “Tower”, the fullstock with traces of 1786 ordnance storekeeper’s mark, with regulation brass mounts, the trigger guard engraved “C/ 53”. Good Working Order and Condition (age patina overall, some slight pitting to lock, the ramrod a replacement). Plate 69
