A c.1900 Art Nouveau ceramic two section jardinière stand of waisted form, decorated with a robed young woman beneath trees in a landscape scene, on a light yellow ground between, inscribed "Cleo" to base, otherwise unmarked, height 49.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: A few minor issues particularly to the edges of both sections. The upper section: repaired chip to the rim of approx 3 x 1cm, five small chips to the inner rim of the flange and four small chips to the outer rim. Base section: one chip to the upper rim. Crazing throughout and minor staining to the lower green section.
A Wedgwood lustre ware bowl, the interior gilt heightened on an orange ground centred with a dog of Fo, the outside gilt heightened on a mottled blue/green ground with various symbols, printed marks and no.Z4823 to base, diameter 9.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very minor surface scratches and some light rubbing to the gild but basically in good order.
A pair of Wedgwood ceramic plaques of a medieval king and queen, with gilt heightened decoration, by Peter Wall, 1963, impressed marks to reverse, mounted on felt in gilt frame, height 35cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both in very good condition. Back is very firmly attached but impressed Wedgwood marks visible. Very light finger soiling of plaques, easily cleaned off.
A pair of late 19th century Sitzendorf figural three light candelabra, each with floral encrusted pierced frames, stepped sconces and central figure, marked to base, height 25cm (both af). CONDITION REPORT: One has her arm detached but is present, also a chip to the cap, small losses throughout. The second has a sconce which has been broken and glued, small losses throughout. Both are very dirty.
A Mettlach stoneware twin handled vase decorated with floral sprays and a textured ground, impressed marks to base, height 30cm. CONDITION REPORT: The tip of one of the scroll handles is chipped, some light rubbing to the gilding around the foot rim and neck, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A near pair of early 20th century large Meissen gilt decorated dark blue ground bowls, one with central painted panel with floral sprays, both with blue crossed marks, the floral painted example with impressed mark 862, and also numbered 33253, the allover gilt bowl numbered 997099, each diameter 31cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very minor rubbing to the gilding, light surface ware to the interior, but otherwise both OK.
A Royal Doulton Art Nouveau dressing table set comprising tray, pair of candlesticks and square box with cover, transfer decorated with stylised floral motifs, pattern no.D2623 and two similar Royal Doulton plates (6). CONDITION REPORT: Candlesticks: rectangular pot dish - D2623 5, light soiling, slight crazing to glaze, chip to foot rim of dish; impressed "13" on candlesticks. Plates: impressed marks filled with glaze, some loss of paint, kiln mark on one.
A Victorian mother of pearl hinged card case with side opening push button action revealing a fan shaped interior of compartments, and a further Victorian mother of pearl card case of typical rectangular form, 11 x 7.75cm and 10.25 x 8cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The one with the side opening action is in good order, action is tight, interior in good condition, a few light surface scratches. The other has a rectangular tableau to the top which is slightly off centre presumed for some initials, slightly tight in the action and has light surface wear.
JACK SIMCOCK (1929-2012); oil on board, landscape with hedge beside a path, signed and dated 4.69 verso, 45 x 75cm, in Simcock frame. CONDITION REPORT: There are a couple of light surface scuffs and would benefit from a light clean. This was purchased from the artist on 10th May 1969 and a signed photocopy of the receipt is available with this lot.

Cinema - Charioteer ceiling light, from the Tivoli, Wimborne, circa. 1930 History - Manufactured by Hailwood & Ackroyd of Morley, Leeds. They were prolific & innovative in making decorative lighting during the 1920`s & 30`s specialising in cased glass. The Charioteer design first went into production in 1928 heavily influenced by the epic release of Ben Hur (The MGM silent film starring Roman Navarro which was released in the UK in 1927). Many cinema architects & owners used Haliware catalogues to select suitable light fittings for cinema interiors throughout the 1930`s 7 x 17in. (18 x 43cm)
Bette Davis, American Actress, a black & white photograph signed to the light section in black felt tip Provenance: This signed press photograph was given to the current vendor by Mr Derek Lewis, former head of the BBC Gramophone Library, on his retirement in the early 1990s. The vendor, who has several other lots in this auction, was a colleague and known autograph collector. The autograph was obtained by Mr Lewis while providing assistance to Ms Davis in a BBC Radio production. 10 x 8in. (25 x 20cm)
