Great Britain : GB 1840-circa 2008 3 Volume collection housed in good condition matching expensive blue Lindner albums with slip cases. Mint and predominantly used original collection - on the whole well identified with better material noted such as 1d black, unplated, x 2 (average), line engraved, wide range 1d red plates but no 225, surface printed ranges - through Kings to QEII - a very well filled collection in 3 very flexible Lindner binders as pages are not printed but uses the Lindner plastic page overlay system - strong ranges of defins and commems but very mixed condition noted - note mint hinged QV 5/- rose - o.g. but trace of light crease / bend - seahorses to 10/- used etc. Some useful mint decimal booklets + few better prestige bopklets. Catalogue value will probably run into several tens of £thousands - but not really the right way to look at this collection which is perhaps suited to a collector with reasonable budget looking to start/develop a good GB collection from a pre-established nucleus. Condition very mixed - but must be worth estimate or thereabouts. If you are seeking to create a top quality GB collection this lot is not for you. HEAVY LOT - OVERSEAS BIDDERS PLEASE ENQUIRE FOR SHIPPING COSTS
