Pitting, dirt and scratches to the dial, push buttons seized, gilding worn on crown, bruising to the band, crystal with light scratches, Swiss standard marks for 18k verso, a little rubbed but clear, heavy wear to the strap

Scottish Regiments:- A group of 9 Victorian cartes-de-visite and 9 cabinet photos of both Highland and Lowland regiments.(18) CONDITION REPORT: Includes a Colour-Sergeant of the Black Watch with 5-bar Egypt medal & Khedive's Star, a good cdv of an officer of the same regiment, c.1860, a cdv of a soldier of Highland Light Infantry in walking out dress, a cdv of King's Own Scottish Borderers bandsman in India, a cdv of a soldier of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, a pair of bandsmen of Gordon Highlanders (loss to bottom right corner of card mount), a cabinet photo of an officer of Black Watch in full dress, a head & shoulders photo of a soldier of Royal Scots Fusiliers at Aldershot, a fine portrait of an officer in mess kit and tartan trews, etc.
Canada:- A scarce Victorian regimental presentation album of 46 cartes-de-visite of the Canadian 13th Battalion, Volunteer Militia (Infantry) in leather-bound velvet album with silver escutcheon engraved with badge and inscription dated 1869; Provenance: R.G.Harris collection. CONDITION REPORT: Formed in 1862, the regiment later became the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and the inscription reads “Presented by the Officers of the XIII Royal Canadian VMI to Mrs. Skinner, New Year, 1869” comprising mostly full length portraits, some head and shoulders, all named on the mounts but also including stand of colours, 5 other ranks of which one is named, one is from the regiment's Highland Company, one is in uniform of Royal Military College of Canada, one is bugler with pork pie cap, the officers mostly in full dress but several in winter dress, 8 officers in mufti, one in blue frock, his forage cap with “13” in crowned oval garter within maple leaf wreath, one in glengarry cap with “XIII” on maple leaf badge, also a Rifleman taken in Sarnia (South-West Ontario). Album lacks metal clasps and has very minor scuffing to leather in places

Smith and dated 1909, a signaller of York & Lancaster Regiment with helmet plate on white helmet, a Colour-Sergeant posing with family, a Corporal of the Norfolk Regiment with regimental yellow pugri to helmet, a Fusilier with hackle in tropical helmet, five of the Royal Irish Regiment, a head & shoulders portrait of the Connaught Rangers with 4-bar medal, also a portrait of Lt. General The Honourable N.G. Lyttleton, c.1890 as Military Secretary to the Governor of Bombay, with 4 medals including an Ottoman order and medals for Egypt

Carr was a friend of Colquhoun and MacBryde and was prominent in the Norfolk Contemporary Art Society. Carr was best know for post-cubist studies on the theme of man and machine. His late watercolours were described by Bryan Robertson as 'of special importance in British art of this period'. Carr died in 1968.

A Georgian officer’s blue cloth tent cap of the 8th The King’s Royal Irish (Light) Dragoons (Hussars), gilt shamrock pattern lace headband, the top with braided stylized floral top ornament, buff leather headband, white silk lining with maker’s stamp of Buckmaster & Co, London and Dublin. A good scarce double barrelled 32 bore Jacob’s percussion rifle, 40½” overall, barrels 24” with Jacob’s deep 4 groove rifling, lug for sword bayonet and 3 folding leaf and tall ladder rearsights graduated to 2000 yards; back action locks marked “Swinburn & Son 1860”; walnut halfstock having steel mounts including single broad barrel band, chequered scrolled trigger guard grip and circular patch box engraved “Jacob’s Rifles”; with sling swivels and original steel ramrod; several parts numbered “554”. Good Working Order and Condition, retaining hints of original finish beneath some recent surface rust; together with its rare sword bayonet, the 30½” double fullered blade having inspector’s mark at forte. Patent”, the finely figured burr maple halfstock with chequered wrist, vacant silver escutcheon, engraved steel mounts including trigger guard with game dog, and replacement ramrod. An old model of the Italian Steam Yacht ‘Electra’. A model based on the yacht owned by Marconi in the 1930’s. Of wooden construction with the hull measuring 106cm. Hull painted in dark green and white with varnished planked decking, removable centre - bridge, funnel superstructure for access to steam propulsion unit (missing). Fitted with fore and aft masts and canvas sails, bow-sprit, single screw with fitted rudder and two detachable life boats. Complete with paperwork. GC-VGC for age light restoration required. An officer’s service sword, c 1810, of Captain Charles Diggle, 52nd Regiment, plain curved, shallow fullered blade 31”, steel stirrup hilt with pronounced knucklebow, the langets engraved with strung bugle and “52” on one side and “Captain Charles Diggle” on the other, plain pronounced forward sloping pommel and backstrap, wire bound leather grip, in its leather scabbard with lightly line engraved steel locket, middle band and chape, with 2 rings. Good Condition (steel parts cleaned over pitting, scabbard leather some wear).
