(1725-1786) of Burghfield, Berkshire the son of James BURGESS (1681-1757) by Mary JONES (born 1690). A 1930S AND LATER JADEITE JADE, DIAMOND AND ONYX BROOCH The oval jadeite panels carved with birds amongst foliage, with shaped diamond connectors and a central polished onyx panel, unmarked, in an associated box Size/dimensions: 6.5cm long Gross weight: 11.2 grams Condition Report: The jadeite panels have a fine fracture across each, these appear to be from the host rock, there is no visible evidence of glue. One of the birds has an etched line across a wing that runs along the fracture line. The diamonds are bright and lively, various cuts, old, eight cand rose cut, commercial white, clarity varying, but no large minerals, one diamond has a large chip to one side.
