A pair of Louis Philippe ormolu four-light candelabra attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomire, circa 1840 With scrolling arms and circular leaf cast drip pans with detachable nozzles, above triple cluster columns, on scrolling tripartite bases, on siena marble shaped plinths, each 63cm high, 23cm wide. (2) With similarities to a pair of seven-light candelabra by Thomire sold Christie's, London, Robert de Balkany & the Côte d'Azur, 23 March 2017, lot 553, previously sold Christie's, Paris, 19 December 2007, lot 398.

A composite 1796 type cavalry officer’s sword, the 32” engraved, blued and gilt blade and steel scabbard of Light Cavalry pattern, the steel hilt of Heavy Cavalry pattern but with “ears” extending from the backstrap over the replacement leather covered grip. QGC (blade worn but retaining some original blued and gilt finish, the hilt and scabbard pitted overall, one hanging ring detached but present). This appears to be a Heavy Cavalry hilt “married” to a Light Cavalry blade, the matching pitting of the two parts suggests that this was done some time ago. £100-200
A 1796 pattern Heavy Cavalry trooper’s sword, blade 33” (slightly shortened, the tip rounded), with traces of inspector’s mark and government sale mark, the hilt with one side of the disc guard and langets removed, and with no “ears” extending from the back strap over the leather covered grip. Basically GC (worn, with light pitting overall). £150-250
An Edward VII 1822 pattern Light Cavalry officer’s sword, fullered blade 34½” etched with panels of scrolls, crowned “ERVII” cypher, crowned Royal Arms, and retailer’s name “J R Gaunt & Sons”, the back edge numbered “12100”, with regulation triple bar steel hilt, in its steel scabbard. GC (slightly worn overall, patches of pitting to the blade, quite deep towards the point). £100-150
An 1885 pattern cavalry trooper’s sword, blade 34½” dated “4/86” and “/91” and stamped with broad arrow over “WD”, “YC” and inspector’s marks, with regulation pattern steel hilt, the guard stamped “4/92”, “8H 418” (partly struck out), small H over 200, and faint traces of other marks. GC, the blade clean (light surface rust on the inside of the guard, no scabbard). £80-120
A European (German?) cavalry officer’s sword, c 1760-1780, broad slightly curved blade 34” engraved with trophies, the barred steel hilt having large thumb ring, ovoid pommel, and wire bound fishskin covered grip. Barratt, Burton on Trent, c 1865, 46" overall, damascus barrels 30" engraved on the top rib “BURTON-ON-TRENT”; signed back action locks engraved with scrolls and game dogs; walnut stock with chequered fore end and wrist, steel mounts and oval WM escutcheon. A French 6 shot 9mm Eyraud double action pinfire revolver, round barrel 95mm, the breech stamped “BREVETE F. EYRAUD SGDG”, a lever beneath the breech swivels to allow the barrel to hinge down and the cylinder to be slid off for ejecting and loading, the cylinder with post 1869 St Etienne proof, simple scroll and vine engraving, with folding trigger, plain walnut grips, and lanyard ring. GWO & C (cleaned bright with some light pitting) £200-250.
A closed frame double action pinfire revolver, number 1570, c 1865, round barrel 152mm stamped on the top strap “SYSTEME ITALIEN” and below the breech “G.INV. BR. BREVETE” and maker’s mark, Liege proved, the cylinder, which swings out for loading, has a separate hinged plate to the rear, with leaf and tendril decoration, chequered walnut grip, and lanyard ring. GWO & C (some light rust staining). £200-300.
A Belgian 6 shot 7mm Pliers patent double action pinfire revolver, number 638, c 1866, round barrel 97mm, the breech stamped “A PLIERS BREVETE”, Liege proved, a knurled bolt below the barrel releases the barrel allowing the cylinder, which is revolved by a separate disc, to slide off for ejecting and loading, the frame and cylinder engraved with scrolls and rocailles, with chequered and carved walnut grips. GWO & C (some light wear) £150-180.
A Belgian 6 shot 12mm Meyers patent double action closed frame pinfire revolver, number 12719, c 1865, round barrel 157mm engraved “E. PARIS. CALLE RIVIDAVIA 20. A BUENOS-AYRES”, the breech stamped “MEYERS BREVETE”, with bayonet bar beneath the muzzle, Liege proved, with simple scroll engraving, chequered walnut grips, and lanyard ring. GWO & basically GC (worn overall with light pitting) £180-220.
A Belgian 6 shot 12mm closed frame double action pinfire revolver, c 1865, round barrel 130mm, engraved in gothic script “Bertonnet Buenos Ayres Calle San Martin 50” (indistinct), Liege proved, the cylinder and screwless frame engraved with scrolls and marked “FASSIN-RONGE BREVETE 55” (faint), with folding trigger, swivel strap loop to the rear of the hammer, one piece chequered walnut grip, and lanyard ring. GWO & basically GC (worn overall with some light pitting, grip split). Ejecting would appear to be effected by removing the cylinder and using the cylinder pin as an ejector rod. £200-250

Black dial has light spotting, luminous material on markers but not numerals, hands refinished. Buren Grand Prix movement, signed on ratchet wheel, marked 12’’’ under balance. Running condition. Movement retaining ring present. FC

Dial has light scratches, numerals have been refinished, blued hands with luminous fill. Movement signed Civitas, 10 ½C, 15 jewels, with shock absorber marked on ratchet wheel, shock protected balance, running condition. Movement retaining ring present. VGC
DH marked Helios wristwatch. Serial D 23721 H. Plated case with brushed finish, wear to plating, particularly on lugs, 33mm without crown. Fixed spring bars. Screw caseback marked "Wasserdicht, Antimagnetisch, Stossgesichert," around central mark of "Rostfreier, Stahlboden." Black dial with light patina, dial markers discoloured but appear to retain original luminous compound, as do hands. Helios signed A.S 1130, 15 jewel movement, marked "15 Rubin." Shock protected balance, running condition. Original movement retaining ring present. GC

Black dial has light spotting and a light scratch in centre. Hands and dial retain original luminous material, hands have a white painted finish. Movement is marked Helvetia on ratchet wheel, clean and in running condition. Original movement retaining ring present. GC
