Fluxus - - Nam June Paik. (1932 Seoul - 2006 Miami). Scroll. 1974. Gerissene und collagierte Tuschezeichnung auf leichtem Velin. 50 x 65 cm. Recto z.T. signiert. Unter Glas gerahmt. - Verrutscht sowie mit recto durchschlagenden Spuren der vorherigen Montierung. Paik war ein amerikanischer Fluxus-, Video-, Medienkünstler, Musiker sowie Pionier der Videokunst. Er studierte 1952-56 zunächst Ästhetik, Musik- und Kunstwissenschaft in Tokio. Nach weiteren Studien in München und Freiburg arbeitete er zusammen mit Karlheinz Stockhausen. Ab Anfang der 1960er Jahre wirkte er im Kontext der Fluxus-Bewegung mit. 1979-96 wurde er Professor an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen für sein künstlerisches Schaffen und ist weltweit in zahlreichen Institutionen vertreten z.B. Berlin, Hamburger Bahnhof; Karlsruhe, ZKM; Paris, Centre Pompidou; Yongin-Si, Paik Art Center. Torn and collaged ink drawing on light wove paper (papier vélin). Singing Group, The Beverley Sisters signed vintage 3x4 black and white photo. On the reverse is record information and a signature by one of the members. The Beverley Sisters (MBE) were an English female close harmony pop vocal and light entertainment trio, consisting of three siblings from London. They were most popular during the 1950s and 1960s, and became well-known through their radio and television appearances. They also toured the cabaret circuit. Louis Botha TLS dated Pretoria 8th September 1911 to Colonel Arthur Lynch MP on the printed stationary of the Prime Minister's office and with the coat of arms of the Union of South Africa at the head. Botha thanks his correspondent for the letter and an enclosure which he read with great interest further remarking 'I am too busy to write more now'. Together with Annie Botha ALS South African wife of Louis Botha to Mr Elliott evidently a photographer. Botha states that she was sorry that she could not see her correspondent the other day explaining that she had wanted to ask him 'to come one day when the General is back to take a photograph of our whole family as we all here together now and may never be so again. Stephen Archer & Simon Harries: Aston Martin Zagato; a signed leather-bound Special limited edition by Palawan Press,published by Palawan Press 1998, bound in navy blue Nubuck leather by The Wyvern Bindery, London, numbered 0020 of 175, a good copy of this rare and sought-after title, 408 numbered pages, an illustrative history of the car and it's racing successes, with many photographic illustrations by Richard Newton, signed to title page with dedication 'To a dear friend' by the authors, Harold Beach, and Ted Cutting, complete with four accompanying prints and a poster, all contained within a leather-covered presentation box applied with Zagato 'Z' plaque engraved with edition number 00420, some light marks to binding and library box. Footnotes:Lots 1 to 10 are properties from The Motoring Library and Estate of the Late Brian K. Joscelyne.Brian K. Joscelyne (1934-2020), a Surveyor by trade, had a keen interest in motoring and motor racing from an early age. Influenced by his father, Lewis Hamilton Joscelyne, who had bought him an Aston Martin 15/98 at aged 20 in 1954, he has been a long-standing member and contributor of the Aston Martin Owners Club. Brian raced, amongst other cars, a DB3 and a DB3S at AMOC and other events, during the 1960s and 1970s, winning the Arthur Bryant Trophy in 1960 and 1961, and also competed at Le Mans. Although Brian had accomplished many skills and much experience during his motoring life, including car mechanic, race team manager and owner, and amateur racing driver, his forte was motoring photography. Although not professionally trained, his high-level enthusiasm was evident in the quality of his images, taken at many competitive events and races from the 1950s to 1970s across the UK and Europe, his Pentax and Voigtlander cameras always at his side. A fine and detailed 1:5 scale model of 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSKL by Sapor Modelltechnik of Ingolstadt, Germany, 1990s,the Super-Sport-Kurz-Leicht two-door roadster, all metal construction, coachwork painted white, exacting detail made from over 3,000 component parts including full engine detailing and dashboard instrumentation, accessories, suspension and other mechanical parts, black leather upholstery and black canvas hood, the model 85 cm long, 33 cm wide, 25cm high. Footnotes:Made in limited numbers, these models usually sold out immediately, and the early Sapor editions included a 1904 Mercedes Simplex, a 1904 Rolls Royce and a 1913 Mercer 35J Raceabout and are widely accepted as the finest detailed models ever produced.The Mercedes-Benz SSKL was based on the previous SSK, whose short wheelbase made it very light and manoeuvrable. Also known as the 'SSK, 1931 model', the SSKL was even lighter (hence the 'L' ) and was able to achieve a top speed of up to 235 km/h.
