A vintage copper hall lantern with frosted glass panels. Of hexagonal form. H34cm Condition Report: The frame appears to be structurally sound. All of the panels fit together securely. Some cracks to the glass. The metal is tarnished in several areas and shows some wear including discolouration and light scratches. Would benefit from a clean.

Otherwise in good order, no chips or restoration. Light surface wear.
Beatrix Potter, The Story of Miss Moppet, Frederick Warne & Co, 1906, 1st edition, 2nd printing, concertina-style book in original cloth binding with dark blue lettering, mounted oval colour illustration and tab fastening to front.Condition report:Overall the book remains intact and without any significant tears to the folded sheet. The crease of the first fold looks the weakest, but is still stable. There are some stain marks to the back of the folding sheet. The last few leaves (at the end of the fold-out) have some additional full-height creases. Some discolouration and light foxing through handling and age internally. The outer cover is generally discoloured through handling; you can see a clear shadow where the purse cover foldover. There are some random black spots to the front "cover". Fountain pen ink dedication to the back of the sheet facing the inner title page. The flap of the "latch" is a little delicate, but again not torn through.

The vinyl surface itself has clearly been played and handled with light surface scratching but doesn't appear to have significant scratches to either side.
Small collection of Agatha Christie books, including; Taken at the flood, 1st edition, A Pocket Full of Rye, 1st edition, Parker Pyne Investigates, 1st edition, At Bertram's Hotel, 1st edition, other novels and some paperbacks.Condition report:Parker Pyne - no dust jacket, the spine heavily faded and discoloured, the boards retain a good shape and the binding on the whole is ok. A name in pen on the first leaf. Interior leaves are good otherwise.Pocket full of Rye - slight tear lower margin adjacent to the spine on the front cover, approx 2cm in length. Other shorter tears to the jacket on the back and some creasing near the margins. Foxing to the ends of the leaves and some internally. Not marked or dedicated in pen and appears unmarked throughout. Binding is good.Taken at the flood - Blackwells Oxford label pasted to inner front board. Jacket has price cut out of the corner on the inner wrap-around. Some light creases to the margins or the spine. Otherwise in very similar condition to Pocket Full or Rye.All three 1st editions with loose receipts from Blackwells Oxford.Most other paperbacks are very heavily thumbed and with weak bindings.
Reproduction mahogany twin pedestal partner's desk, leather top, one side with drawers and slides, the other with drawers and cupboards, 183x122cm, height 77cm, and a pair of brown leather swivel office chairs.Qty: 3Condition report:The top of the desk is heavily faded and marked. The inset leather panels are heavily ring marked and scratched and will probably be easiest to replace rather than restore them to former glory. The pedestals and desk top outlines are well marked and knocked through use. On the cupboard side of the top, there are two quite heavy notches just above the kneehole. The cupboards appear locked and there are no keys present. Drawers are sound but all run into the carcass very easily as if blocks have been removed. The chairs are both functioning and the leather in good overall condition. Some light scuffing and marks to the leather but no significant tears or rips.
Victorian mahogany drop-leaf dining table, large rectangular leaves, on square moulded legs, 115 x 131cm, height 74cm.Condition report:Likely started off life as a centre section to a large table. The top has allover marks, light surface scratches, and staining through age and use, with the colour a little pale. The planks are free of any splits. The undertier and supports are all sound. Some kick marks tot he legs. No evidence of worm.

A 1796 pattern light cavalry officer's sword, blade 33" etched, blued and gilt with crowned "GR" cypher, Royal Arms, figure of a mounted cavalryman, trophies, and floral display, regulation pattern steel hilt with wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Good Condition, the blade with minor wear, otherwise it retains most original finish. £2000-2500
A good cavalry officers sword of the IV Queen's Own Light Dragoons, c 1860, blade 35½", by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, number 7643, finely etched with crown over "VR", regimental badge, battle honours to Crimea, crest with motto "Fortitudine" and panels of foliage and flower heads, the scrolled steel hilt incorporating crown over "QOLD" cypher over "IV" with wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Good Condition (patches of rust staining to scabbard). A IV QOLD sword of similar date but different pattern is illustrated in Robson's "Swords of the British Army" figure 75. £1800-2000
