IAN PARKER (BRITISH, 1955-), "LINE OF PEACHES", signed lower right, oil on canvas, laid on board, framed. 14cm by 44cm. Note: Parker was born in County Durham and studied art at Shoreditch College, London. He has been a frequent exhibitor at Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. Mark Monahan, critic from the Daily Telegraph, singled out Parker`s entry to the 2008 Summer Exhibition, "Amalfi Lemon" as "a near-perfect still-life...exquisitely simple, perfectly executed (it`s almost photo-realist, though happily not quite), and its subject bathed in a subtly atmospheric light, it makes you feel you could reach through the canvas and pluck the fruit from the painting." His works are included in the collections of Kensington Palace (commission for T.R.H. the Prince and Princess of Wales), Lord Young of Graffham, corporate collections etc.
