Brenda Malley was born in Dublin in 1954 and studied History of Art at University College Dublin. Brenda's work has been represented by the Leinster Gallery, Dublin, the Barbara Stanley Gallery, London, by the James Wray Gallery Belfast, and by the Whitethorn Gallery in Clifden, Connemara.In 2010 Brenda received an award from Culture Ireland to present a solo exhibition "Across the Sea" in the Irish Cultural Centre of New England, in Canton, Massachusetts. She was also the recipient of a residency award at Cill Rialaig Artist retreat in Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry in 2009.
