Z3 BMW Roadster. 1997. Registration number P223 GVN. Pre-facelift 'narrow-body' version with leather interior, manual gearbox and the more economic 1.9 petrol engine. Mileage 237,000. Dating from April 1997 this earlier, narrow body pre-facelift Z3 Roadster presents in cosmic black with matching black Mohair soft-top and rides on its original alloy wheels. Under that shapely bonnet, we find the 1.9 litre M44B19 four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 138bhp and 180NM of torque, driving the rear wheels here, via a five-speed manual transmission giving ample performance for most with an impressive fuel economy. Theinterior has brown leather seats with electric seat base adjustment, Stainless steal anti roll hoops, light brown dash trim, power steering, ABS, electric windows, electric mirrors, digital clock, radio/CD player and manual hood mechanism which is in very good condition.Though the vehicle has covered high mileage it comes with a large folder of service history to evidence regular servicing and replacement of consumables, a new clutch was fitted not long before the car entered his classic car collection. The owner has a large classic car collection and decided to store the BMW Z3 n his collection some few years ago where it has remained on Sorn ever since, though as with all of his cars they are fired up regularly and driven up and down a private track. The body panels are in good rust-free condition and the interior is very tidy except for the passenger seat base which has a small separation of stitching between two leather panels. The vehicle still has its original BMW tool kit in its original tray and its original space saver tyre which appears to be unused.Due to age and health the elderly vendor has decided to dispose of his classic car collection to down size hence the vehicle is sold still on Sorn.
