Walter J. Watson (British, 1879-1979), "On the Lledr" North Wales, mountainous landscape . oil on canvas, inscribed "On the Lledr N. Wales" and signed "Walter J. Watson" on the back of the canvas, original English swept gilded frame . 19¼ x 29in. (48.5 x 73.5cm.)* Canvas unlined. VG condition overall. Framed behind glass. Frame good with minor losses and retouches in gold paint. Has been professionally cleaned and restored at some point in the past - some very skilful strengthening visible to RH side of hillside and a light scratch to the paint in the water has been minimised. No other retouches or repainting visible under UV. Slight cockle to canvas lower left.

Acidic mount. Some mount burn visible and a little light foxing. Paper very lightly toned. Patch of mould to surface just to right of wall extending into lake.
A pair of good quality twin branch silver plated table candelabra, with tapering knopped columns, the branches with reeded scroll arms with moulded foliate decoration issuing from below a central light, with removable extinguishers/finials, raised on circular stepped foot, 14¾in. A large late Regency mahogany wheel barometer by F. Amadio & Son of London, the case with satinwood cross banding and edged in boxwood and ebony, the ivory mounted swan neck top with urn finial, over a silvered hygrometer, aneroid thermometer, signed 10in. main dial and level, the dial with engraved sunburst and ivory vernier wheel beneath, 42¾in. (108.5cm.) high.. * Provenance: Gorringes, October 2001.. **Very good overall. Minor dings to edges and light spotting to top right of dial. No other faults.
An Elizabeth II cased silver condiment set, A Chick & Sons Ltd., London 1978, comprising a covered mustard pot, open salt, pepper and two spoons, or tapering cylindrical form on stepped bases, gross weight without blue glass liners 4.8 tr.oz.. *Overall very good, having very slight rubbing to hallmarks, light clean needed.

A pair of vintage opal drop earrings, featuring round opals measuring approximately 8mm in diameter and in a rub over setting.* Condition: No damage to stones. One of the opals has a black line inclusion to the back - can only be seen from the back or when the opal is held up to the light. One has a small casting hole to the back of the gold ball. One hook is slightly bent but should be easy to rectify. No hallmarks. These are natural opals, not doublets or triplets. Diameter 8mm.

39th (Dorsetshire) Regiment of Foot, Victorian Officer’s shoulder belt plate circa 1825-55.Splendid rich gilt seeded rectangular plate with burnished edges, mounted with silver star bearing gilt crowned pierced strap ‘39th OR DORSETSHIRE’ on a blue enamel ground. Centrally, on light green enamel ground, gilt Gibraltar Castle and Key with motto scrolls. Below the star, a number of ornate battle honour scrolls. Complete with leather liner.
