A First World War Copper Bugle to the King`s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, with applied brass King`s crown, regimental badge and later stamped MARNE 1914-18 W/\D, with a brass escutcheon stamped 5172 BUGLER D.VICKERS, red, green and yellow cord and tassels There are dents to the body. The seams of the copper body are brassy. The suspender rings are quite crudely soldered to the body rather than attached to a rounded brass base plate!
A 16th Century Style Bevor (``Falling Buff``), the two pierced articulated lames with sprung bar catches, the lower section with pointed chin and shallow flange neck protector It is quite light in weight and the gauge of the metal is quite thin. It does not have any brass parts. The shallow flange neck protector has three rivets in place, each having a split running off the hole. The right side of the flange has a piece missing from a rivet hole.

A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper`s Sword, with 83cm broad single edge fullered steel blade, steel stirrup hilt with shaped wood grip, with a black painted steel scabbard (possibly later) The blade is very rusty and flakey, particularly towards the tip. There are traces of a name to the back edge near the hilt. The hilt is grey pitted. The rough wood grip is lacking its leather binding. The scabbard is a replacement
A Second World War German Forester`s Type Hirschfanger (Hanger), the 44.5cm double edge plated steel blade etched with a stag and a doe with trailing branches of oak leaves and acorns, the brass hilt with shell guard, recurving deer`s hoof crossguard and quillons, antler grip set with three brass bosses, with brass mounted leather scabbard; a Second World War Trio, of 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star and 1939-45 War Medal, together with Pay Book, Service Record, portrait photograph, a typed Skeleton History of 5th Battalion, The Highland Light Infantry 1939-45, books, ephemera, cap badge and collar badge, to 3328731 Sergeant William Robert Henry Rhodes Semple, Highland Light Infantry, who acquired the Forester`s hanger whilst serving in the war.
