Spines are heavily faded, some with tears to the binding, some with staining, front and end pages with light foxing consistent with age.

A group of German porcelain, 20th century, comprising: a Meissen dish in the shape of a flowerhead, decorated to the centre with deutsche blumen, blue underglaze crossed swords and incised no. 67 to underside, 28.5cm diameter; a Meissen oval scalloped dish decorated with floral sprigs, blue underglaze crossed swords and incised no. 2101 to underside, 25cm long; a Nymphenburg oval twin handled dish decorated with pink highlighted handles and floral motifs, green printed factory mark to underside, 37cm long; a pair of Dresden twin handled urns with covers, of cobalt blue ground with gilt highlights and cartouches decorated with scenes after Watteau, the tallest 27cm high; and a further group of Dresden porcelain including a twin handled jardinière decorated with floral motifs, the handles modelled naturalistically as intertwined branches, 17.8cm high; a tazza with applied floral encrustations and crenelated rim, 9cm high; two small pierced and floral encrusted baskets; and an ashtray; together with a Limoges porcelain cream ashtray with gilt border and panther to the interior, 13cm long (11) The two urns are each missing one handle, the cover of one urn is missing its finial, but all the pieces are present with the lot. The body of one urn is heavily restored. All other pieces are in good overall condition with light wear to gilding and minor losses to floral encrustations.

A Chinese red and black painted wood shrine, 20th century, of rectangular form with arcade separated into three arches each with carved gilded decorative work, the central arch housing two seated bearded figures in relief, flanked with two arches each housing a seated female figure in relief, each figure with richly adorned gilded garments and headpieces and seated atop simulated wood bases, the whole set into a red painted wood box frame, 34cm x 45.8cm x 6cmSome light scratches and lifting of wood panels to the frame, a crack to the bottom edge of the central arch, further small cracks to the decorative carving throughout, general surface dirt and wear throughout.
A Japanese bronze elephant, Meiji period, modelled with trunk raised and stepping on a panther with its left leg, with another panther climbing on its back, character seal mark to the underside, with naturalistically carved tree trunk base, 32cm high excluding baseThe ivory tusks have been removed. Overall in good condition with light tarnishing and verdigris in some areas.
Two Japanese Satsuma ware vases, 20th century, one with applied elephant masks and chain link handles and decorated with panels of warriors and flowers, 30.5cm high, the other with panels of domestic scenes between geometric motifs, 17cm high (2) The base of the larger vase has been re-attached with adhesive, and coated with a thin glaze across the whole vase, underneath which can be seen heavy crazing and light cracks. The smaller vase has crazing throughout and a firing crack to the rim.
A George III figured walnut and ebony strung tea caddy, the lid and body with fruitwood parquetry inlaid border, with brass hinges and diamond shape bone escutcheon, opening to reveal a single compartment interior with divots for sectional dividers, with yellow pigment to the lid and upper section of the interior, no key, 14.7cm x 30.9cm x 15.6cmThe ebony stringing to the lower left footrim of the caddy is lifting away, the lid is slightly warped resulting in a small crack visible to the lower left and upper right corners of the exterior lid, general surface wear and light scratches to the exterior and interior.
A collection of items pertaining to the military career of Private Charles Lawson McCulloch (3658) of the Highland Light Infantry, comprising death plaque with oak mount and accompanying framed scroll and letter (loose); 1914-15 Star; portrait photograph; inscribed bible; and another bible inscribed to a family member; together with an interesting sketch book containing drawings and inscriptions by various hands and a Victory Medal to 14191 Pte. A William IV silver nutmeg grater, Thomas Edwards, London (probably) 1834, length 46mm, gross wt. 47.7g. Condition - good, minor wear only including light marks, scratches, rust to grill etc., both compartments open and close nicely, no play in hinges, brass hinge pin visible at corners, hallmarks well defined.
