Early 19th Century Cream Silk Dress with pleated capped sleeves trimmed with lace and down fur, scooped neckline, high waist, pleated and gathered detail to the top of the skirt, short train, cream linen lining to the bodice, hand and machine stitched,together with an Early 20th Century Cream Net and Lace Dress, embroidered overall with floral sprigs to the long sleeves, bodice with scooped neckline and long skirt with train, black velvet trim to the bodice,(2)Cream silk dress - the silk has light spotting/discolouration overall, some wear and holes to the hem, alterations to the bodice, fur later added, tear to the waistband on the back.Lace dress - numerous holes and tears mainly to the skirt, large rip from the waistband, holes to the hem, some discolouration and overall wear.
Late 19th Century Pink and White North Country Zig Zag Strippy Quilt, heavily hand quilted overall with pink to the reverse, 215cm by 253cmCondition overall is good, a small lighter brown mark in one area and a light water mark to the bottom corner, small brown mark to the reverse. Quilting good and quite crisp.
Early 20th Century Steiff Pull Along Dachshund on 'Eccentric' Wood Wheels, with black boot button eyes, a green leather collar studded with Steiff buttons (with underscore F), the four wooden wheels impressed 'Steiff Made in Germany, Imported D'Allemagne', with two later bells to his neck, in brown felt, nose to tail 21cm, height 14cm This well loved Dachshund was given to Harold Grayson Booth as a gift in circa 1919. Harold was born on 29 March 1918, son of Arthur and Sarah Emma Booth of The Mount, Holmfirth. He served in the RAF, was a Squadron Leader and posted as a Wellington bomber navigator in Malta, Cairo, North African Coast, was mentioned in despatches, then went on to teach other navigators. Harold married Connie in 1941 and worked in the woollen trade, moving to Darlington in 1949 and becoming the Manager of The Yarn Dyehouse at the new Patons and Baldwins factory. He died on 9th March 2000.The wedding photo illustrated includes Frederick and Harold's grand parents Crossley and Elizabeth on the left hand side, they also feature as models for Bamforth Postcards who were based at Holmfirth, see images of the Farmers Boy. Missing ears, hole to the end of the nose, three holes to the shoulder and both thighs, seams underneath all been re-stitched, tail split and re-attached, small holes to the bottom of the front feet and feet loose on the stand, some light staining and fading to the felt, rise and fall of the wheels not working properly.

A Meissen porcelain salt cellar, modelled as woman holding a swan and flanked by a pair of floral painted shells, blue crossed swords to underside, H 16cm, W 26cm, together with two Naples porcelain groups, early 20th century, each of two young children at play, on oval bases, marks to undersides, approx. 15cm high, and two Meissen style figures, of male musician and female dancer, unmarked, H 17cm, (5)Condition Report: All the figures were examined under UV light and there is a small patch of florescence to the shell on the Meissen figure. Potential restoration to this area. Other figures do not display signs of breaks or cracks, but could have losses to applied decoration.

A Victorian mahogany chest of drawers, with two short and three long graduated drawers, on bun feet, H 120cm, W 94cm, D 48cmCondition Report: The colour is more consistent and dark than in the images which have shapes on them from light. The veneers have an attractive figure to them. The top has several 2cm ring/hoop marks which would need polishing out. There are old marks and scratches consistent with age and use, see the extra images. The handles are in good condition though one is loose and held in with paper. There are remains of stickers to the drawers, mainly the two small drawers and the lowest drawer. The drawers all run reasonably well. There is key and the upper right short drawer has a damaged lock.

A Roman silver light miliarense of Gratian, obverse GRATIANVS P F AVG, reverse VIRTVS EXERCITVS, with TRPS in the exergue for the Treveri mint (Trier, Germany). It is relatively unworn but has been heavily clipped, with a weight of just 3 grams, which has reduced the reverse legend and mint mark.
