dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Caucasia, Straight, double-edged blade with double fuller and thin, central groove, ribbed at the foible and provided with enlarged tip, three areas on both facets with remains of gold-inlaid decorations. Horn grip scales, light on the front and dark on the back. A rivet with a stud, the other is missing. Slightly engraved central band. length 59,3 cm.

Round at the second part, and with slightly bell-mouthed nozzle. Flintlock with flat plate featuring lowered borders. Cock, plate and batterie engraved with spirals and leaves. The head of the top jaw screw engraved with a rosette. Working mechanism, the pan cover slides with difficulty. Wooden full stock with fine butt-plate featuring a mask at the center surrounded by engraved and slightly-relieved leaves and flowers. The tang of the barrel with a wide, engraved mount, the back escutcheon crowned and edged with spirals, the counter-plate decorated with flowers. Trigger guard with floral decorations. Saya with a very beautiful dragon lacquered in gold and red. Eldest son of Masayoshi, he was hired by the Chief of the Tsuyama clan, in the Mimasaka region. length 59 cm.
