Northern Rhodesia. 1938-52 definitive set, substantial study in Davo album. Commences with unmounted mint and used sets, then a value-by-value treatment (7 x 20/-) with multiples, plate varieties including 1d green `extra boatman` mint, 1½d red tick-bird sound used with light machine cancel, 1½d yellow-brown tick-bird mint and used, coils and a few covers. Must be viewed to be appreciated, representing many years` study and a great opportunity for dealer or collector alike. SG 25-45

(18 x 284cm) 18th C panel , a number of areas of staining both light and dark . Also small areas of well executed repair , embroidery is generally in good condition but there are some areas of loss of the fine embroidered line 19th C panel may well be 18th C, embroidery good , silk poor condition

Thomas Rowlandson, `Comforts of Bath`, set of twelve hand-coloured etchings, in red leather bound and cloth folio, each image 7.5" x 10", NOTE These cartoons were later used to illustrate the 1858 edition of the New Bath Guide, written by Christopher Anstey and first published in 1766 PROVENANCE: Noted on folio "from the collection of L. C. Elger." Spine and corners of case worn. Case faded. 1. Edges and corners worn. 2. Crease in top corner. 3. A little light foxing. All corners clipped from having been stuck down. 4. OK. 5. Brown stain on back. Possible areas of repair or cleaning. 6. OK. 7. Light wear to edges. 8. Paper loss in top right corner. Creases to border and image. 9. Light wear around edges. 10. Tear in right margin. Edges and corners worn. 11. One tear in bottom margin. Losses in corners. 12. Losses to corners. Edges tatty. Bottom of each print says; Pubd Januy 6th 1798 by S.W. Extensive Wedgwood Florentine pattern dinner, tea and coffee service in turquoise, comprising three circular vegetable dishes and covers, three oval dishes, thirteen dinner plates 11", twelve cereal bowls 8", twelve side plates 8", twenty smaller side plates 6", twelve tea cups and saucers, gravy boat and saucer, coffee pot and cover, tea pot and cover, two sucriers and covers, three cream jugs and two plates 7", 2 saucers with a small firing crack/hairline cracks. Dinner plates with signs of light use. Decoration in good order. All appear to be of first quality.
19th century gilt metal and marble mantel clock by Reid and Son Newcastle on Tyne, under a glass dome 8 day striking movement, with plaque "presented to Rev James Snape, Principal of the Royal Grammar School" NOTE James Snape was principal of the school circa 1860-80 Small chips around base of dome. Chips to corners of marble. Clock attached to base. Light wear to gilt especially the feet.
