A Pair of George III Oval Salts, an Oval Mustard Pot and a Cylindrical Pepper Pot, the salts by Nathaniel Smith and Co, Sheffield 1799, with moulded rims, pierced and engraved sides on panel feet 3.375ins x 2ins x 2.125ins high, blue and green glass liners for same, the mustard pot by Duncan Urquhart and Naphtali Hart, London 1794, 2.5ins high, and the pepper pot of tapered form London 1810, 3.5ins high, combined weight7ozsCondition ReportMustard pot - the foot with a small v-shaped section missing, with associated 1mm split. Hinge intact and works well. Evidence of soldering below the upper handle terminal and the lower handle terminal. Internally just below the hinge a probable inserted piece of silver of shield shape. Both sides engraved, the cartouches with monogram to one side and armorial crest to the other. The engraving worn. Glass liner intact. Pair of salts - one foot slightly bent upwards. This salt with a split across underside. Both engraved, with additionally an initial to one side, the other side with engravings and a vacant cartouche. One liner blue, one green. The blue with some miniscule scattered chipping to inside upper edge. All marks rubbed. Pepper pot - some light scattered scratching but otherwise appears to be in good condition.

Stand 380, Grays, Davies St, London W1, purchased 7/12/94 for £2000Condition reportThere are two small areas of loss to enamel on the right side of the lid close to the upper right corner. Each measures approximately 1mm in diameter. There is some associated light cracking to the enamel. The entire enamel surface has been sprayed with a lacquer, presumably to disguise some restoration. The extent of this restoration cannot be determined. The lacquer is cracking and breaking down in places, particularly to the underside. The side order has been attached to the top of the box, using two rivets/pins. The right of these has come loose. The catch and hinge are good. The original gilded interior shows some slight wear/scattered scratching.

Sterling serving fork - tines slightly out of alignment. The plated items all appear to be in reasonably good condition.
