1929 Citroën C4 Registration number AZ 9971 VIN Number 512531 Engine Number J08422 With V5 The Citroën C4 range was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1928. It was one of the mainstream cars produced by the company at the time when production was rapidly increasing. André Citroën was a very successful motor manufacturer and employed around 31,000 people, producing in the region of 400 cars a day. This C4 is a touring saloon finished in navy blue and black. It is a very rare car, and is in excellent condition. The car has been part of a private collection for a number of years and has seen very little use, so may benefit from some light recommissioning. With receipts and paperwork and numerous photographs showing its restoration.
A 19th Century Gilt Bronze Fifteen-Light Chandelier, of neo-rococo form, the wrythen fluted stem encircled by a fruiting vine, leafy ceiling rose, with six S scroll lower large branches surmounted by nine further smaller branches with leaf hands and campana nozzles enriched with foliage throughout, 86cm high, 71cm wide (max) Originally for candles, would require complete rewiring if desired as an electric fitting. Metalwork with general discolour/oxidisation throughout, but appears generally structurally sound - this is a very complex piece so there may be small losses and other minor issues. The basal terminal has a drill hole in it (?) Some old stress cracks observed. 150615

An Ormolu and Porcelain Mounted Striking Mantel Clock, retailed by Le Roy & Fils, London and Palais Royal Paris, circa 1880, case surmounted by two cherubs holding a bunch of grapes and playing a triangle, flanked by rams' heads, light blue porcelain panels depicting urns with sprays of flowers, cherubs and a circular portrait of a lady, dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement striking on a bell, backplate stamped Japy Freres and numbered 12943, stamped with retailer's mark, 35cm high 09.06.15, Case surfaces are faded, bottom front mount is slightly loose, porcelain panels with some rubbing to the gilt decoration, dial is rubbed in parts and the enamel jewels are missing in parts, later pendulum, movement looks complete.
An Ormolu and Marble Striking Mantel Clock with Garniture, retailed by Roussel, Paris, circa 1880, surmounted by a seated cupid, octagonal shaped base with a wreath border, 3-inch dial with applied Roman numerals, twin barrel movement striking on a bell, backplate with maker's mark Vincenti and the retailer's signature, 44cm high, with ormolu and marble cherub three-light candelabra garniture, 38cm high 10.06.15, Marble with small chips in parts, ormolu surfaces are slightly faded in parts, dial with retailers signature slightly rubbed, movement is clean, garniture with minor chips to the marble, ormolu surfaces are slightly faded.
A Blue and White Porcelain and Gilt Metal Mounted Striking Mantel Clock with Garniture, circa 1880, vase shaped porcelain case with foliage and dragon decoration, surmounted with winged cherubs, applied side masks, pierced base with scroll feet, 3-1/2-inch cast dial with twelve enamel cartouches, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, backplate stamped Marti and numbered 595, 65cm high, with blue and white vase shaped porcelain five-light candelabra, 71cm high 10.06.15, Two fine hairline cracks are visible inside the porcelain case below the clock movement, these cracks are not visible from the front of the case, mounts are slightly faded in parts, minor chips to the enamel cartouches around the winding holes, movement is clean, porcelain garniture look complete, metal surfaces are faded.
A Good Ormolu Striking Mantel Clock with Garniture, circa 1880, the elaborate case surmounted by cherubs, a goat and floral and scroll mounts, 5-inch enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, backplate stamped Vincenti, 47cm by 68cm, with a pair of ormolu seven-light candelabra, 69cm high 12.06.15, Ormolu surfaces slightly faded in parts, central front mount is broken and is now loose, two other loose mounts need re-locating with screws, screws are missing, front door with glass missing, dial is chipped at 12 and other small scratches, movement is dirty, garniture ormolu surfaces are rubbed in parts.

Small watermark to lower edge. Light time staining to paper overall causing some subtle muting to the colour depth together with some possible slight bleaching to the paint, however the blue of the sky and flashes of red remain in good vibrancy and depth generally. Tiny sized discoloured specks and very minor superficial scuffs in the sky around the turrets. Light cockelling to the paper Not examined out of the frame.
