Marked with registration number 256155 to each piece, maker's mark double struck on the milk jug.
THE ALEXANDER CLARK MANUFACTURING COMPANY; an Edwardian hallmarked silver and inlaid tortoiseshell trinket box of rectangular form, the hinged lid decorated with an urn and scrolls enclosing a pleated silk interior and raised on four cabriole supports, Birmingham 1910, length 7.75cm width 5.5cm, height 5cm, approx 104.2g.Additional InformationTortoiseshell in good condition as is the inlay, the silk is dirty but intact, action closes well, tarnishing and toning to the silver, some tiny minute dents and some very light misshaping to the legs. Hallmarks readable but makers mark very slightly obscured. Around the edge of the lid where the tortoiseshell is within the silver slip there appears to be a small gap in some areas showing as holes but this is where the tortoiseshell finishes before the silver, it is only visible on two sides.
ROBERT CHANDLER; an Edwardian hallmarked silver trinket box of lozenge form, the embossed hinged lid enclosing a central vacant cartouche, gilt washed interior and scroll embossed decorated main body, Birmingham 1903, length 9.75cm, width 5cm, height 3.75cm, approx 61.6g.Additional InformationGood gauge and cartouches are solid, clear marks to lid and bas, lid closes correctly and tightly, tarnishing and toning throughout with just some light surface scratches and a few tiny dents.

The lid is slightly loose due to the pin holding it in place otherwise light surface wear with tarnishing and toning.

Slightly tight fitting which may have forced to seam to open on the top. Some tarnishing and toning throughout and light surface wear.

Gilt washed interior still present, the action is very slightly springing but very near perfect, light surface tarnishing and toning and a few surface scratches.

Hallmarks clear to both sections.

The only comment to make is that the polished vacant cartouche which is on a good gauge does stand out rather as being so polished and there are four small pin holes to the lid.

We are unable to date the ring, the glass is free from cracks, where we have mentioned light surface scratches and pitting, these are not noticeable and with a good clean the ring would be markedly improved. It could be resized, this would not be straightforward because of the thickness of the band. It is engraved Chopard to the glass, it has French marks.
