According to a PMI test on the XRF analyzer, the gold is testing as purity 91.46%. This was a popular posy - it can be seen on various other posy rings including examples in the British Museum (ref. 1961,1202.40, 1961,1202.42, AF.1298, AF.1299), the Griffin Collection (Inv. no. 05079), the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (ref.
