An American silver centrepiece, by Edward C. Moore, Tiffany & Co., c. 1875, in the Aesthetic Movement style, with unusual central gilt well, probably for a floral arrangement, 22.5cm square, 12.5cm high, 20oz This centrepiece exemplifies the Japanese influenced pieces designed for Tiffany by Edward C Moore in the 1870s. In the late 19th century Japonism was flourishing in Europe. At the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1867 Edward C Moore, whilst being stationed on the Tiffany exhibit, would have been well placed to absorb the designs on the large and successful Japanese exhibit. In the 1870s he then began to incorporate Japanese style, with its typical asymmetry, into Tiffany designs. Examples with similar decoration are illustrated in Tiffany's 150 Years by John Loring. CONDITION REPORT: Some light wear. Small dents to sides of stem. Two sides have a number of shallow nicks/scratches - may well be remnants of a removed inscription. Gilt interior is scratched from where associated liner has sat tightly. The liner is plated. Please view additional images (available upon request).

A silver etrog box, by Abraham Benelisha, London 1928, of oval form on four ball feet, the cover with Hebrew inscription surrounded by two leafy branches, the body similarly decorated with an etrog, 14cm wide, 8cm high, 12oz With Hebrew inscription taken from the Torah 'and you should take for yourselves, the fruit of a citrus tree...'. CONDITION REPORT: Tarnished. Doesn't close smoothly, slight overhang at front of lid. Some light wear.
A pair of large silver five light candelabra with four candlesticks en suite, by Lionel Alfred Crichton, London 1912, the two five-light covertible to three-light candelabra, the faceted baluster stems on square bases with canted corners and moulded borders, the simple scroll branches supporting baluster capitals and circular drip pans, monogrammed, candlesticks 30cm candelabra 46cm branches and centre sconce 95oz CONDITION REPORT: Two of the single candlesticks have knocks to the top rims, one more obvious than the other. Four of the larger sconces have indentations on them from the rims of the candlesticks. Bases of all sticks dented, scratched and marks worn. Other small dents to uprights of all sticks. A Victorian coromandel and brass inlaid dressing box, retailed by Halstaff & Hannaford, 228 Regent Street, London, the velvet and leather lined interior fitted with silver gilt and gilt metal accessories, c.1868, mixed dates and makers, to include: a large double medicine spoon by George Adams, London 1870, a propelling pencil/pen, by Sampson Morden, a hand mirror, tray of silver mounted cut glass bottles, above two further drawers, the lower drawer fitted for writing and with a fold-down front, fitted with manicure accessories, all decorated with arabesque style engraving, against a linear background, the toilet bottle covers with vacant circular cartouches CONDITION REPORT: Some light wear. Tarnish to silver gilt. Small bits of veneer missing. Splits and raising to the veneer. Brass banding missing to top and loose on mirror. Some chips to glass bottles. One lid doesn't engage to glass neck. Some rusting to steel parts of implements. Some fading and wear to both the velvet and leather. Release mechanism is a little stiff. One implement missing. Silk tabs missing on mirror and stationery drawer. Crack to top, in the back left hand corner. 29cm deep. 22.5cm high. 35cm wide. Although different makers, all parts have uniform decoration and match. It must have been originally assembled by different makers. Please see additional images (available upon request).
An Edwardian silver table centrepiece, by Walker and Hall, Sheffield 1908, the trumpet foot with six scroll branches, supporting three sweetmeat dishes with shaped loop handles and three trumpet shaped flower vases surrounding a larger central example, all with pierced leafy scroll and shell friezes and moulded borders, 40cm high, approximately 70oz CONDITION REPORT: One basket handle has been resoldered. Some very slight bending to pierced borders Light surface wear. A couple of surface dents to trumpets. No obvious major faults though.

A Chinese export silver cigar case, stamped with Chinese characters, of rectangular form, the front decorated with a scene of Chinese life, surrounding a shield shaped cartouche, the reverse with dragon motifs, monogrammed, gilt interior, 13 x 8.5cm, and a Chinese export silver napkin ring, of circular form, pierced with two dragons, flanking a heart shape cartouche, monogrammed, 4.5cm diameter, 6.5oz (2) CONDITION REPORT: Light wear - no obvious major faults. Napkin ring slightly misshapen. Cigar case: 5oz.

A Victorian split pearl and enamel serpent necklace, the centrepiece composed of the head and tail of a snake with cabochon red paste eyes, graduated split pearls to the head, and a light blue enamel ground, drop deficient. Articulated tubular link chain with a concealed box clasp. Tested as approximately 15ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Two chips to the enamel at either side of the mouth, below the eyes. A crack to the enamel at the back of the head, where the tail loops over. Wear to the links.
A cased Victorian gold mounted shell cameo brooch depicting Demeter, the carved shell cameo depicting Demeter with goblet and sickle, white to a tan ground, rub set to a 'D' section frame. Etruscan style decorations with applied twisted wire and beads to a bloomed ground. Fitted case by Alfred Dodd, 40 Cornhill. Tested as approximately 15ct gold. 68 x 56mm. Damage CONDITION REPORT: Crack to the shell at the forehead area. Obvious from the back. Some areas of light tarnish.
A Victorian coral set gold cross, c.1870, a Latin cross with a series of bouton shaped coral beads, each peg set to a concave surround, each with a twisted wire border, bloomed ground, hand engraved foliate decoration verso CONDITION REPORT: Very dirty and tarnished with light surface wear. Engraved decoration is crisp. Scratched area at the back where it has probably been tested in the past.
A Victorian diamond set oak leaf brooch in a case by S J Phillips, the curved and pierced leaf grain set with lines of cushion cut, old European cut, old eight cut and rose cut diamonds. Detachable brooch fitting. French remark for foreign articles. Replacement visor clasp, one replacement stone, not diamond. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and silver CONDITION REPORT: Areas of light tarnish to the leaf. Glue where the replacement stone has been set. The replacement stone is not a rose cut, but not one of the larger diamonds. Approximately 2.50mm diameter. An 18ct gold half hunter fob watch, c.1860, blue enamelled Roman numeral chapter ring to the front cover, with a white enamel dial, subsidiary seconds dial with blued double spade hands. Case 40mm diameter with crest and motto 'Je suis prest' hand engraved to the back cover. Movement signed Arthur J Fraser 1864. Case no. 1129, hallmarked London 1863. The crest is possibly that of the clan Fraser CONDITION REPORT: Bow worn. Very fine hairline to the dial between 5 and 6. Light surface wear to the case.
A gold seal, c.1840, with intaglio engraved citrine, chased mount and hasp with the coat of arms The arms are possibly those of Ashton Nicholas Every Mosley JP and DL, of Burton House, Edwall, Derbyshire (1792-1875). His wife, Mary Theresa, was the only daughter and heiress of William Stables of Hemsworth, Yorkshire. Ashton Nicholas Every Mosley was appointed High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1835 and the seal may have been commissioned at the time of his appointment. CONDITION REPORT: Requires a light clean. No obvious faults. The seal was intaglio engraved to be used. Seal: 28mm x 24mm. Hasp section: 33mm x 35mm. Motto: Mos legem regit (custom rules the law).
A late Victorian onyx diamond and split pearl memorial brooch, oval landscape brooch, 39mm diameter, with an oval onyx tablet to the centre, with applied monogram 'A.S.' set with rose cut diamonds. A border of graduated split pearls with feature dated points. Glazed locket verso, with hand engraved memorial inscription 1887. Tested as approximately 15ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Pin broken at the chenier. light tarnish to the reverse.
A cased late Victorian split pearl hinged bangle, blade edge bar split frame, with flower heads and shamrocks set with split pearls, hand engraved to the guards 'R.M.R. Oct 97', marked 15ct, fitted bangle case by Carrington & Co., 130 Regent St., tooled initials 'R.M.R' to the side of the case, together with a sapphire and seed pearl bar brooch, with French cut sapphires, between pairs of seed pearls in an offset square, to a gold bar marked 15ct CONDITION REPORT: The bangle is nice and crisp with only light surface wear. Two split pearls deficient. The brooch with light surface wear.
A two stone pearl and diamond crossover ring, c.1930, two bouton shaped pearls, 5.9mm diameter, cup and peg set in a crossover position, the shoulders each grain set with three, eight cut diamonds to a plain shank. Marked PLAT 18ct, both pearls untested. Finger size P CONDITION REPORT: Requires cleaning. Slight difference in colour between the two pearls. One medium cream the other more of a light silver/cream.
A single row graduated natural pearl necklace, with an Art Deco sapphire and diamond clasp. A single row of graduated natural pearls, 2.8 to 7.6mm in size, strung knotted to an Art Deco, single row safety clasp, with two rows of calibré sapphires to a pavé set diamond ground. Accompanied by a report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory, No. 07154 dated 5 February 2013, stating that all the pearls are natural saltwater. 12.31g CONDITION REPORT: 12.31g. Length - 460mm (but need restringing). Shape - round (the odd one slightly off round). Colour - light cream. Overtones - green. Lustre - good-very good. Skins - appear smooth from 30cm away; under 10x magnification some unevenness to the surface nacre; some are slightly grainy. No damage. Requires cleaning.

She toured Europe in the late 1970`s, visiting clubs and cabaret shows, especially in Berlin.
A pair of silver plated two-branch three-light table candelabra, 19th century, in neo-classical style, each with raised centre light with flambeau finial, with Ionic sconces and beaded pans, with reeded swept S scroll branches and husk enwrapped columnar stems, on weighted square bases enriched with vases, each engraved with a Talbot dog crest, 55.5cm high (branches and sticks possibly associated) One has lost its felt basal lining.
