A 1989 Jaguar XJ6 3.6 litre automatic saloon, registration number F376 OFJ, chassis number SAJJFALH3AA585541, engine number 9DPAMA184839, metallic green. Originally supplied by Charles Clarke Jaguar, Kidderminster Road, Hagley, Stourbridge to its first registered keepers M & C Glass Co Ltd, Kingswinford Road, to be used as a company car by Mr Chris Charole. There would subsequently be two further owners before our vendor purchased the Jaguar in 2011. Finished in a most attractive light metallic green with a contrasting tan leather interior, this XJ6 has covered 83,000 miles from new. The Jaguar has a most comprehensive history file with receipts for works carried out by the previous three owners, past MOTs verifying the mileage, and supplied owner's wallet with all handbooks. The vendor has only added a very small mileage to the odometer during his custodianship and the car has been in store since its last MOT expired in March 2014. The Jaguar, which sits on alloy wheel with matching Dunlop tyres, offers tremendous value and luxury motoring at a modest outlay. V5C, no MOT See illustration
A 1960 Ford Thames 100E 5 CWT van, registration number 8329 CR, chassis number 100E/864178, engine number 100E/86478, grey. Manufactured between 1954 and 1961, over 139,000 5 CWT vans rolled off of the production line and they became a go-to vehicle for both large and small business in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Having only had four registered keepers from new, this charming light commercial is presented in a restored condition but has retained its original engine, seats and gauges. The first owner, a Mr Derrick Edward Windsor from Hedge End Hampshire, registered the van on 7 July 1960, and would retain it until he sold it to Main Road Garage, Parson Drove, Wisbech, Kent. Subsequently the van was sold to Mr Anthony Charles Downing, who would in turn pass the light commercial to our vendor in 2013. It is believed that the van has covered a total of 65,000 miles over the past 57 years, with only a modest mileage being added to the odometer by our vendor during his ownership. With light commercials becoming ever more popular with collectors, this matching numbers example, which is offered for sale with its original registration number, should appeal to a wide market. A 1979 Aston Martin V8 Series IV Oscar India, registration number CVT 924T, chassis number V8SOR12082, engine number V/540/2082/S, blue. The Series IV V8 was scheduled to be introduced in October 1978 (code name Oscar India) to replace the outgoing Series III. The most visual difference between the outgoing model and its replacement were the restyled bonnet and flipped lip to the boot, while the interior received a redesigned dashboard and centre console, and the headlining became leather. This particular Oscar India has had six owners from new, with our vendor owning the Aston since 2005. During his ownership, he has had the sills restored, fitted a stainless steel exhaust, resprayed the car in metallic blue, rechromed the bumpers and replaced the veneers and treated the leather. He further advises us that he has enjoyed taking the Aston down to Le Mans on four occasions, having the privilege of exercising the V8's power on parade laps on more than one occasion with the Aston Martin Owners Club (photograph on file). The Aston was last MOT'd in 2013, and has been in dry storage since, so will now require light recommissioning and MOT'ing before taking to the road. There is an accompanying history file with receipts from marque specialists, Goodwood Green, Fulham Workshop, Sigma Engineering, Chapman Spooner and Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, including an engine rebuild by AML Limited in 1989 for £12,770.70p, a bill of sale from Paradise Garage for £29,000 (26/7/91) and previous MOT certificates. This Aston Martin now offers an exciting opportunity for the next owner to purchase a V8 Aston with some room for improvement at a tempting guide price. V5, V5C, no MOT See illustrations***Please note: The gearbox snatches when cold but the vendor advises us that it improves when it warms up and suggests it might be low on transmission fluid.***
A 1973 Triumph Stag, registration number DRU 888L, chassis number LD217070, engine number LF 02133HE, white. This desirable manual overdrive Stag was originally built on 31st January 1973, finished in Mimosa yellow with a Chestnut brown interior. Its first owner resided in Bournemouth, and took delivery on 1st March of the same year. In 1989 the Stag was resprayed white. Our vendor purchased the Triumph in September 1993 from Peak Performance Co, Ltd, Hallington, Middlesex, for £4,850 (receipt on file). During his ownership the car has been used as a second car and took part in the 1999 Land's End to John O'Groats run in aid of British Heart Foundation and has been in store for the last seven years. Maintenance carried out over his ownership has included repairs to the bodywork: 1994, rear chassis, spring hangers and rear wings cut out and replaced; 1996 sills replaced; 1998, offside A post and front floor pan replaced; 2000, front valance and front wing corners replaced; 2005, sills and front nearside front pan replaced, together with lower front wings.
