All remain in good overall condition. Many of these badges are the actual examples pictured on pages 42-45 of “History of the British Army Infantry Collar Badge” by Colin Churchill. (36 items)

George VI Grenadier Guards Dress Tunic of red scarlet cloth with dark blue facings, white grenades to collar, and cuff decoration. Shoulder boards with embroidered insignia to the centre, bullion Lewis Gunners qualification badge to the sleeve and brass regimental tunic buttons (2 missing). Blanket lining to the interior which shows just light service wear.
WW2 Royal Air Force Taylor Buoyancy Flight Suit, yellow canvas padded flight suit complete with the original zippers to the front and legs, zips are corroded and in need of attention. Suit has the original popper button flaps etc. Suit is in need of some light cleaning and TLC. Untouched example.
Luftwaffe Tropical Issue Overseas / Side Cap being a French made tropical side cap with original tropical Luftwaffe cap eagle and cap cockade. The cap is fitted with a red soutache which is unusual to find on Luftwaffe caps, possibly privately added by a flak crew member. Coarse material to the interior lining which is typical of the French made tropical items. Some light staining to one side. Good example.
Luftwaffe Flight Section Obergefreiter German Cross Winners Flieger Blouse, being a fine example with two lower pockets, tunic is complete with all the original insignia. Embroidered other ranks breast eagle, five piece medal ribbon bar, cloth glider two gul badge, flight section collar tabs with three metal guls, cloth Luftwaffe issue Deutsche Cross in gold, Luftwaffe marksman lanyard, cloth rank chevron to the arm and Luftwaffe issue Krim campaign shield above. Original but poor quality other ranks yellow piped shoulder boards. Interior lining with ink issue stamping. Tunic shows very light service wear.
Luftwaffe General Goring NCO’s (Unteroffiziere) Cuff Title, fine blue cloth uniform cuff title with gothic style embroidered lettering to the centre. Cuff title is bordered example. Shows evidence of being removed from a uniform and is still stitched at the back. Some colour has run into the lettering making the lettering appear a light blue colour. Two areas of moth under the word “Goring”
Pre 1936 British Union of Fascists (B.U.F) Lapel Badge, being gilded Fasces on enamel shield in the form of the Union Jack with B U F in gilt letters. Reverse of the badge has makers mark of W O Lewis, Birmingham. Long pin fitting to the reverse. Some light staining and scuffing but generally good condition. Post 1936 versions of this badge had the letter F removed from the centre of the badge according to the book “Mosley’s Men in Black” by John Millican.
Victorian Border Regiment Cap & Collar Badge Set being other ranks issue with two lug fittings on the reverse of each badge. Accompanied by a Edwardian period other ranks cap and collar badge set of the Durham Light Infantry with two lug fittings on the reverse of each badge. All in mint condition. A Chinese rosewood (probably Huang Huali) bitong or brush pot, finely inlaid with mother of pearl and hardstones with a figure upon the back of an ass with attendant behind beneath a blossoming tree, mother of pearl character seal mark to base of brush pot and raised on a circular stand, height 16cm, diameter 14.5cm. *Provenance: Professor B. Lofts. CONDITION REPORT There is a tiny 2mm x 4mm chip to the base of the bitong, light surface scratches but none of the inlay appears to be missing. There is a small loss to the stand, approx 1.5cm x 3mm, spurning a small crack, otherwise in good condition.
A pair of late c.1900 Chinese blue and white tea bowls with over glazed iron red decoration of dragons chasing the pearl diameter 9cm, a late 19th century Chinese blue and white tea bowl with internal dragon decoration and four external roundels decorated with stylised birds diameter 10.5cm and a further 20th century Chinese blue and white tea bowl diameter 9cm (4). *Provenance: Professor B. Lofts. CONDITION REPORT A few natural surface scratches to the pair of bowls and dragon decorated blue and white bowl, but free from chips, cracks and restoration. There is some fritting to the rim and foot rim of the fourth tea bowl and some light surface scratches. All have a rough natural finish.
A Galle cameo vase CONDITION REPORT: The inside neck of the vase has scratches and the exterior top lip has one hairline that runs through the upper section of the flowers which cannot be seen from the inside of the neck. The vase is structurally sound, however there is a pin mark to the vacant part of the neck can be seen under a light
A Victorian Staffordshire flat-back figural group. Approximately 32 cm tall. CONDITION REPORT; Generally good order throughout, with light crazing visible throughout. Some small chips to the base (the largest photographed being beneath the glaze) and a firing-crack to the neck of the left figure. No obvious restoration
