Two early 20th century gilt metal and art glass hall lanterns Similar but clearly not a matching pair. Both frames re-gilded; both cut glass shades good despite small chips around tops through contact with metalwork. One 37cm, the other 45cm, both excluding non-matching roses; both set to receive a light bulbs but in need of re-wiring.
An early 20th century half plate camera by Sands, Hunter & Co. 37 Bedford Street, Strand, London WC, mahogany and brass frame, body 21 x 20cm, in the original leather case, also containing a Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Ltd. Lens, a light gauge and three mahogany plate holders There is no obvious fungus on the lens, however, it is very difficult to distinguish from other deposits. The iris and shutter appear not to function. There are no obvious splits to the bellows.
A late 19th century Swiss eight air cylinder music box, Paillard Vaucher Fils, St Croix, 17 inch cylinder playing eight airs, 123 teeth comb (one tooth now lacking), bone escutcheon Tuneful working order; three-section steel comb; no serial number seen; one ebonised wood dust-partition missing to left side. Burr yew cover panel dry with light cracks; central cartouche with light scratches; some rubs around ebonised edges; no key.
Three Whitefriars faceted millefiori glass paperweights, 8cm in diameter First image, top - graze at the top of one of the oval panels. First image, bottom left - two light, small scratches beneath one of the oval panels; one tiny nick to one oval panel. First image, bottom right - two tiny nicks to hexagons; with applied Whitefriars paper label.
A pair of Egyptian Art Deco style painted metal floor lamps with opaque flambé shades, height 142cm Both structurally good; electrically wired but not tested. Female with an apparent dark acid stain all the way around her thighs; further light surface corrosion; curious patch at the top of her right shoulder, at rear, a possible restoration; male with light surface corrosion. Glass shades appear good, one not able to be removed.
