A French 19th Century Gilt Bronze Clock Set in the Louis XVI Style. The painted porcelain dial signed Desfontaines FT; Rue St Honore 422; à Paris, set in a drum case mounted with a gilt bronze figure of Cupid holding a bird & bow, and resting upon the naturalistic ground. The alabaster base raised on foliated & lobed feet. 21½ ins (55 cms). The matching five light candelabra issuing scrolling branches from an urn held by seated cherubs, 26 ½ ins (67 cms) in height.
