Hydrotherapy.- Richardot (Camille) Nouveau Système des Eaux Chaudes de Plombiere en Lorraine, only edition, contemporary ink inscription "Du Monastere de Lande. de Nancy" at foot of title and another to front pastedown, light spotting, contemporary sheep, spine gilt, rubbed, worming to head of upper joint, 8vo, Nancy, chez l'auteur, 1722 § [Jaquin (Abbé)] De la Santé..., half-title, 4pp. approbation/privilege at end, contemporary boards, spine gilt, a little rubbed, Paris, Durand, 1762, 8vo (2)⁂ The first is a scarce work on the medical benefits of the hot springs at Plombières in the Vosges mountains, a spa dating from the Roman era and still in use today. COPAC lists only 2 copies (BL and Wellcome); there are also a handful on the Continent but none in America.
