Peter Wyngarde's Personal Wardrobe - a beautiful vintage 1960's / 1970's full length Mink fur coat / gown. Light fur cuffs and collar, with its original fur belt still present. No makers label. Likely tailored for Wyngarde. Various publicity and press photographs depict Wyngarde wearing this coat, most notably on a night out with actress Suzanna Leigh (see photos). Showing signs of light wear, but generally in very good original condition. A rare item from Wyngarde's private wardrobe.

Tan brown leather construction, with two pockets to the front and large leather lapels. Fitted with a single original button. No makers labels, and was likely custom-made for Wyngarde. The jacket shows signs of use, with some light fading and staining (largely to one part of the interior lining). A rare, unique and iconic leather jacket.

Jason King (1971 British Television Series) - a stunning screen used and matched silk Kaftan smoking / lounge gown, worn and owned by Peter Wyngarde. The gown in blue and green jacquard, with gold coloured silk thread decoration. No makers label, but an old costume department reference tag remains pinned to the inside collar. Some light wear from production use, but generally excellent condition. A rare piece of television costume. As used in several episodes of the series, and first seen in the episode If It’s Got To Go, It’s Got To Go - as well as several publicity images. An iconic outfit from the series.

[Freeth (John)], "J. Free". Baskerville, and sold by S. Aris, and M. Swinney, 1771.⁂ Rare, ESTC lists 2 copies only of this edition (not in BL). The Bodleian also has an edition from the same year with an additional leaf at the end not called for here. Freeth was the owner of the Leicester Arms, a Birmingham inn and coffee house (popularly known as Freeth's Coffee House). Freeth would write songs to music based on the events of the day which would then be sung to patrons. The popularity of the songs encouraged Freeth to publish with the first collection appearing in 1766 (also rare with only 1 copy on ESTC). This is the second collection and the first to be printed by Baskerville.

Opus posthumum, 2 parts in 1, including appendix, first illustrated edition, folding engraved frontispiece, titles in red and black and with engraved vignette, 6 engraved plates (1 folding), engraved illustrations, errata f. and 'Regestum' f. with engraved printer's device at end of part 1, lacking half-title and a portrait, some spotting or light foxing, contemporary calf, rebacked, corners worn, rubbed, [Hoover 581; Sinkankas 4390; Ward & Carozzi 1541; Caillet 7390], folio, Rome, Johannes Maria Salvioni, 1719.⁂ A landmark treatise in the history of mineralogy and metallurgy. Mercati was personal physician to Popes Gregory XIII and Clement VIII, and superintendent of the Vatican Botanical Garden. He formed one of the first organised collections of minerals under the aegis of Pope Sixtus V. 'The collection reflects the state of knowledge extant at the time, and therefore includes objects of presumed magical or medicinal virtue as well as those which are correctly identified and described' (Sinkankas).
