An interesting 1821 pattern Straits Police Light Cavalry officer?s sword of the Berkeley family (Worcestershire), slightly curved, pipe backed blade 32?, by T Colley, 10 Cockspur St, London, etched on both sides with crowned VR cypher and wreath in panel, with crest and motto of the Berkeley family on one side near forte and ?Straits Police? in scrolled panel on the other, small WWI panel ?6th Worcester Regiment? on one side at blade centre, regulation steel triple bar guard, prominent stepped pommel, plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its WWI period brown leather FS scabbard, with similar knot. Good Condition, a clean example. Plate 31

A late 18th century light cavalry officer?s sword of a Welsh Regiment, curved, fullered blade 30?, etched with crowned GR cypher and trophies on both sides, and blued and gilt for one third length, steel stirrup hilt with loop and 2 sidebars incorporating Prince of Wales?s feathers and motto in circle (small piece of circle missing), plain facetted pommel and backstrap, ribbed darkwood grip, in its partly panelled leather scabbard with engraved steel locket, middle band and chape with single (mis-shapen) ring (the other missing). Good Condition, the blade retaining a little blueing and gilding (scabbard leather scuffed). Plate 32

Quite Good Condition (worn overall, knucklebow bent, blade abraded). Plate 32
A rare George IV officer?s mameluke sword of The 3rd (King?s Own) Light Dragoons, curved flat blade 31½?, clipped back at point, by Hamburger & Harwood, King St, Covent Garden, London, finely etched with crown, ?Third or the King?s Own LD? with Horse of Hanover, battle honours ?Salamanca? and ?Peninsula?, GR IV and crossed lances on one side and an elaborate trophy of arms with wreaths on the other, steel crossguard with flattened bud terminals and langets, lined backstrap, ivory grips with gilt rosette studs (one missing), in its steel scabbard with 2 rings. Good Condition, the blade retaining much original polish. Plate 32
A late Victorian 1822 pattern infantry officer’s sword, almost straight, fullered blade 33”, by W Jones & Co, 7 Golden Sqr London, (the firm’s address 1889-96), etched with crowned VR cypher in scrolled fenestrated panels on both sides, with owner’s initials “GRG” in panel near forte, regulation triple bar brass hilt with sideloop to guard incorporating crowned VR cypher, stepped pommel, ornamental backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip (a little wire missing), with knot (worn) in its steel scabbard (lightly pitted) with 2 rings. Good Condition, the blade retaining its crisp original finish (light pitting to scabbard). Plate 29

A .65” Yeomanry 1844 pattern percussion carbine, 36” overall, barrel 20” with Tower proofs and inspector’s marks, the lock engraved with crown over “VR/ Tower - 1844”, walnut fullstock, the butt impressed with broad arrow and “BO”, with regulation brass mounts and swivel ramrod. Good Working Order and Condition (some light pitting to barrel, otherwise a pleasing age patina, saddle bar removed). Plate 35
