An Early 20th Century Samoan Sword Club, of light coloured hardwood, the blade with raised medial ridge to each side, the chamfered waisted grip with raised geometric finial to the butt, all over carved with geometric panels, 81cm. Finial later pierced for a hanging strap. Blade with a number of small chips to edges.

A 19th Century Belgian Six Shot Pinfire Revolver, with traces of original blued finish, the 7cm round barrel set with a 10cm double wavy edged steel bayonet to the left side, the right side with ejector rod, the cylinder with hinged loading gate, with folding trigger and ivory grip scales, the barrel, frame and cylinder inlaid with gold tendrils, 23cm. Action works. Bayonet is fixed. Small loss of gold inlay to part of barrel. Light pitting to metalwork, the blued finish is now a dark brown.

Under UV light there are numerous areas of restoration mainly to parts of the face and neck and some areas of restoration or touching up to the corners and to the arm, some areas of the dress as well. Painting has wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.

ATTRIBUTED TO JAMES FRANCIS MAUBERT (1666-1740) "Son & daughters of Richard Clarke Esq. 1727.", an elegant full length family portrait, one daughter holding aloft a goldfinch and basket of flowers also held by the eldest daughter, a fan in her left hand, both wearing elaborate embroidered shoes, the youngest daughter and son holding an English partridge, a dog to his left, oil on canvas, unsigned, titled top right, approx 151 cm x 196 cm CONDITION REPORTS Over all appearance good throughout though the piece has been relined. Under ultraviolet light areas of touched up craquelure visible to all four figures particularly around the facial areas and breast - see images under ultraviolet for further detail. The eldest daughter with most repainting particularly to the face and breast area. The younger daughter to the right with repainting to her right shoulder area on the dress. An area of repainting to the right of the boy's head - see images for further detailing.Re Frame: Whilst has some age it appears to have been renovated at some period in the past, probably within the 20th Century, including regilding, filling etc, difficult to know if frame original, likelyhood probably not and probably later in manufacture. Condition generally sound though with two areas of cracking/minor loss to the left hand side. See images

SCHOOL OF SIR GODFREY KNELLER (1646-1723) "Gentleman with curled wig with lace collar and red cloak, a black rod in his left hand", a portrait study, half length, approx 96 cm x 93 cm CONDITION REPORTS Light surface scratches, accretions, crazing to the paint throughout. There are numerous small areas of loss to the paint, mainly to the left-hand side of the robe, an area of loss to the lower right corner underneath the sitter's hand and also an area of loss to the staff that he is holding and some scratches and small areas of loss to his wrist. There is a scratch roughly an inch long next to his eye. The painting could possibly do with a clean. Under UV light there are a couple of areas of touching-up. There are two small areas in the top right corner. The sitter's pupil on one of the eyes has been touched up and there is an area of over-painting just above the sitter's hand and the scarf. Also, a small area to the left-hand side of the painting. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.

Both have light surface scratches, some areas of pitting to both, some small dents and knocks to both pieces. Some staining and accretions to both. 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Victorian officer in red coat and brass gorget", a portrait study, half length, oil on canvas, unsigned, approx 36 cm x 30.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Numerous light surface scratches, build up of dirt in areas, could do with a clean, accretions, crazing throughout, scuffs. There are numerous small areas of loss to the painting mainly next to his ear, the side of his head and on that left hand side next to his head also to parts of his uniform towards the bottom of the painting, also numerous little areas of loss throughout. There is wear and small areas of loss to the paint around the edges of the painting where it has come in contact with the slip. Under UV light there are some areas of touching up to the paint. One area is to the hair just above the ear also to part of the hair at the top and some areas to the edges of the painting. Under UV light the painting also appears to have been cleaned at some point. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.

Two Hermes ashtrays, each depicting birds with gilt decoration, 19.5 cm long, another with archer on horseback, 20 cm long and another depicting an owl, 19 cm long (4) CONDITION REPORTS The Hermes owl ashtray has numerous surface scratches and scuffs, accretions, a build up of some substance covering the stump that the owl is sitting on. There is a chip to one of the corners and two small chips to another corner. The horse and archer ashtray has surface scratches, some minor wear to the gilt and accretions. The ashtray with the pheasant decoration has light surface scratches, some wear to the gilt and a chip to the underside of one of the corners. The ashtray depicting ducks has light surface scratches, wear to the gilt in areas, accretions and a build up of some kind of substance in the centre. There is a large chip and an area of loss to the side and also a crack that runs from that chip right to left along the majority of the ashtray. All items have wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.

There is a small area of loss to the top left edge of the painting with the horse guard with the red plume. There is a scratch and an area of loss to the paint on the other horse guard painting. Under UV light there are areas of touching up to both paintings. There are small areas of touching up to the left hand side of the plumed helmet of one of the guards also some areas to the edge of the same painting and also a small area to the bottom right of that painting. Also that painting appears to have been cleaned at some point. The companion painting has also been cleaned at some point. There appears to be some touching up and repainting to the right hand side of the guard's head on the brickwork, also some overpainting on the brickwork to the left hand side of that painting and a section of the brickwork to the right hand side. Both paintings have general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.

17TH CENTURY FRENCH SCHOOL "Philippe Duc of Orleans brother of Louis XIV", a portrait study, head and shoulders, oil on panel within a painted frame, bearing arms lower centre, bears old handwritten inscription verso "Philippe Duc D'Orleans Frère Unique de Louis XIV" verso, 33 cm x 25 cm CONDITION REPORTS There are light surface scratches and some areas of crazing to the paint mainly to the hair. Some blistering to the paint also, accretions and dust. There are two indentations and scuffs to the wood on the sitter's hair to the left of the sitter's head. There is a split to the panel on the right hand side going full length top to bottom. There is wear to the paint on the edges of the painting due to the painted panel being loose in the frame. There is a small area of loss to the paint to the top of the picture. Under UV light there are numerous small areas of touching up mainly to areas of the hair, parts of the face which are the jawline, part of the lips, the right eyebrow and both eyes and numerous other small areas around the edge of the painting and to the coat of arms, also either side of the split in the panel. 17TH CENTURY DUTCH SCHOOL IN THE MANNER OF CASPAR NETSCHER (1639-1684) "Young lady in feathered cap", her hair in ringlets, wearing pearls holding a garland of flowers in her hand, oil on panel, unsigned, approx 45 cm x 33 cm CONDITION REPORTS Under UV shows signs of cleaning as well as various areas which have been touched up mainly to her chest and sleeve on her near arm. Also some brown residue showing up under UV - unknown what this is. Looks to be signs of old varnish when viewed in natural light. Varnish all over appears to be a bit "patchy". There are signs of surface scratches and some damage/knocks, some pinhole faults, signs of craquelure, a deep scratch line to the varnish/paint in the bottom left hand corner of the panel plus another running parallel to it an inch up as well as various chips missing throughout the image especially around the neck area. Frame is modern. General wear and tear. See images for more details.

There is a small dent to one of the corners at the back of the box. There is some staining and discoloration to the wooden lining of the box, also some accretions. Under UV light painting has been cleaned and there are numerous small areas of touching up mainly to the background. There are some small areas of touching up to the horse on the neck and the jaw. The back of the painting has a canvas covering which does not appear to be attached to the back of the painting itself so unable to tell whether it has been relined.

There is a canvas covering to the back of the painting although not attached to the canvas itself so unable to tell whether painting has been relined. A pair of 19th Century Pratt's "Native Scenery" vases table lamps CONDITION REPORTS Tarnishing, scratches and accretions on the brass light fittings. Surface scratches to both lamps, crazing, accretions, etc. There appears to be an old repair to the top edge of one of the lamps and also next to that is a chip. The other lamp has two small chips to the edge of the flared base also accretions, some staining and discoloration in areas. The same lamp also has what looks like three possible small areas of repair to the top lip of the lamp. Both lamps have general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details. 43cm tall by 15cm wide. Both Pratt's vase lamps are 22.5 cm approx. excluding fittings. Unable to state whether in working order. One retains the wire and plug, the other has been cut.

19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL IN THE STYLE OF JAMES NORTHCOTE (1746-1831) "Victorian officer in gilt embellished red coat, his right hand upon his horse's head at his head", a portrait study, three quarter length, oil on canvas, unsigned, approx 145 cm x 112 cm CONDITION REPORTS Painting has light surface scratches, build up of dust, some accretions. There is a long light scratch going down from the horse's nostril about four inches. There is crazing to the paint throughout. Under UV light there are areas of repainting and touching up, the main areas being the jacket, areas of the sword and around the sword, the hands, parts of the face mainly small areas to the forehead and part of the horse just above the eye, on the ears, also around the nostrils and further areas to the background. Below the horse's nostrils slightly to the right there is some cracks to the paint and there is a possible old repair/over painting to that crack. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. There is a canvas covering to the back of the painting although this is not attached to the canvas so unable to tell whether painting has been relined or not. 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Hunter in a Stable", oil on canvas, unsigned, approx 30.5 cm x 40.7 cm CONDITION REPORTS Crazing to the paint in areas, surface scratches and scuffs, the main scratches are just above the horse's shoulders and in between the legs. There are flecks of what appear to be white paint in areas. Painting could do with a clean. There is wear around all edges of the painting, probably from the slip when it was framed. Painting is unframed now. Under UV light there are numerous small areas of both painting and retouching mainly to the top of the horse's hind quarters and to the lower left of the painting and a few areas to the top right and a small area to the top left of the painting, also another area just below the horse's head. Painting has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details.

A Herend dinner service comprising large tureen, three vegetable tureens, seventeen soup bowls, eighteen dinner plates, fifteen tea plates, thirteen smaller plates, thirteen coffee saucers, eleven coffee cups, nine tea saucers and five tea cups, teapot, milk jug, lidded sugar bowl, three sauceboats, three shaped serving dishes, two larger serving dishes, all with floral and bird decoration and gilt highlights (116 pieces) CONDITION REPORTS The service has clearly been used with several pieces showing signs of wear and tear, light scratching to the decoration, fading suggesting that some pieces have been in hot water / dishwasher though by no means all. Most pieces bright in colour and un-tarnished / damaged though one plate with large hairline crack (see image). 14 large plates with fading, 4 smaller plates with fading, 1 side plate with fading. See images of faded piece and brightly coloured piece for example. Due to the extensive nature of the service it is suggested that respective purchasers satisfy themselves as to the finer condition of each piece.

There is a couple of very small scuffs to the edge of the painting on the left hand side. Under UV ligjht there are areas that have been over painted or retouched. Main areas are to parts of the saddle and the front legs and part of the neck of the horse. There are also areas of touching up to the left bottom corner and to the left side of the painting as well. Westmorland Rifle Volunteers, the 82 cm, curved, single edge blade with single part fuller, etched with the rifle brigade crest and regimental title below Victoria crown, further with foliage and crossed lances, the gothic hilt pierced and engraved with the Rifle Brigade crest, wire bound fishskin grip, the steel scabbard with twin suspension rings. Blade with overall scattered light rust and pitting. Hilt with overall light rust. Grip with some wear and several small holes in fishskin. Scabbard with overall rust.

A George V 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword, the 82.5cm etched, single edge, fullered blade bearing maker's mark, ''Pipe & McGill, Maiden Lane, Bedford, W.C.'', the steel hilt pierced and engraved with royal cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, leather-covered scabbard; and another, Victorian example, with piquet weight blade, signed, ''Humphrey & Crook, London'', the black-painted steel scabbard with ring suspension (2). First sword - Blade with very light rusting. Scabbard with some scuffing to leather. Otherwise good. Second sword - Blade with light rusting. Hilt similar. Fishskin grip badly worn and with some sections lacking. Wire binding incomplete. Scabbard with large dent to one side.

Black pitting to blade, hilt and scabbard, which also has a dent. The wire binding is missing from the grip, as is the fishskin covering.
