HORACE TAPSCOTT QUINTET - THE GIANT IS AWAKENED - The tremendous forward thinking LP from the Horace Tapscott Quintet, of which alto sax player Black Arthur Blythe said: "Our music may serve as an antidote to cool out a lot of people's minds". Original release on Flying Dutchman (FDS 107). The record is in clean Ex condition with only a couple of very light and minor wispy surface markings. The heavyweight original gatefold sleeve is in great Ex condition with only some rather light foxing on the inside.

MIKE WESTBROOK'S LOVE SONGS - Well presented 1st UK pressing of the fantastic 1970 LP (SML 1069). The record is in VG+ condition with some light surface markings; these never extend deeper than this and there are no scratches at all. The sleeve is in Ex condition with a little wear to the front laminate.

The record is in strong Ex condition with just a couple of very light and faint marks running with the groove. The sleeve is in strong Ex condition - traces of wear, there is a small cataloguing sticker on the top right of the reverse.
BLUE NOTE - ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS - 3 x fantastic original US 'New York USA' LPs. Titles are Free Jazz (SD 1364 blue/green label with a white fan on black background - record is in VG+ condition with only a couple of light and minor surface markings/ lovely Ex condition sleeve with some light wear to the spine, minor edgewear and 'Specially imported by Polydor' sticker on the back cover) and This Is Our Music (stereo SD 1353 blue/green white fan on black background - solid VG+ condition record with a couple of light surface marks/VG sleeve with a paper tear on the reverse where a sticker has been removed).
THE MILES DAVIS QUINTET - COOKIN' - As Miles said (of the album title): "After all, that's what we did - came in and cooked". And we really are at a terrific heat with this 1st US pressing on Prestige (PRLP 7094). With '446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C' address and RVG in the runout. The deep grooved LP is in VG+ condition with some light surface marks - these are at no point of a heavier nature and there are no scratches. The sleeve is in VG condition - a well presented example, there is a small seam split on the top right edge and some light staining on the reverse.

A late 19th Century carved giltwood rectangular wall mirror:, the plate within a spiral ribbon slip, surround with paterae, cornucopia, urns of fruit and foliage, scrolling acanthus leaves and mythical birds on light brown velvet grounds and with an egg and dart and scale border, 119cm (3ft 10 3/4in) x 92cm (3ft 0 1/4in).
A 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre Waterloo Battlefield Find, the 32.25ins blade heavily pitted and with a small hole, with "D" guard (hilt missing), the tang stamped "S.B", 37.25ins overall, and a late 19th Century "Sam Browne" leather revolver holster with belt and pouch, stamped "T.H & S. Ltd" Provenance: The sword with typed label from a French collection gives the "Musee Cotton, 1909" as source for the "Collection Jeanne Sully Fontainebleau", and with a certificate confirming it as a Waterloo Battlefield find dated 30/04/2014.
