Samuel Chase, One of the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, title trimmed at head, removing majority of ink ownership inscription but not affecting text, light browning and the odd small patch of soling, occasional light creasing to corners, contemporary half roan, spine gilt, rubbed, some light soiling to spine, [Sabin 12204], 8vo, Baltimore, Printed for Samuel Butler and George Keatinoe, 1805.⁂ The impeachment proceedings and trial of Samuel Chase, here "taken in shorthand by Charles Evans" and published the year of the trial's conclusion. Chase, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, was charged with political bias but ultimately acquitted.
